Re Longstaff: even the great teams need an unassuming player who just gets on with it allowing other players to flourish -- Busquets -- however ironically if Gazza, Shearer, Beardsley had emerged now in front of this generation of swivel eyed supporter they wouldn't get a kick being born only a few miles from the stadium rather than under the gaze of Christ the Redeemer
