Local Knowledge S3:E8 "Islas Encantadas"

On this fishing trip Ali and Rush hitch up the boat and travel down to LA Bay Baja, Mexico to meet with up with their old friend Julio Meza. They fish the diverse Sea of Cortez & Isla Encantada. With a mother ship close behind, the guys will work up and down the baja coast, seeking some of Baja's prized fish species like yellowtail, billfish, snapper, grouper and cabrilla.

great video. I started watching when I was living in southern japan in the military. The fishery there is awesome and like a cross between hawaii and cabo. Okinawa japan has alot of americans living there that work with local Japanese fisherman to make charter companies happen. If your ever interested look up a few videos on youtube or ask for a few contacts.

i spearfish Gonzaga all the time, there are always golden groupers and seeing them swim is majestic... never shoot them because it's bad luck, according to the locals.

Take size 6 7 circle hooks, I normally buy Owner, iron tady blue whites. two speed reels and a rod you can run on the rail. I promise you will thank me later. You will absolutely fall in love, side note yellows down there fight like hell, believe all the stories, cus they are all true.
