At least those crabs don’t seem like they are really fast. Blue claws are crazy fast and trying to grab them is kinda scary. Claws up snapping at you and they have good reach too

Soooo much faster than you'd guess and way stronger than a blue crab. That said, neither is much fun, ask Rutchy.

I ran 400 traps. It’s the toughest of the fisheries. The cuts from the barnacles get infected from the rotten bait. Ugh, I don’t miss wrestling with octopus 🐙 one bit. You guys cove all subjects for sure! Oh, stone crabs have two claws obviously, one is larger and known as the crusher claw, the other is longer and known as the “cutter” claw. I can’t describe how strong they are. Cutting a finger off isn’t even a beginning. They can crush a 1” stainless gaffe handle no problem. I won’t let green horns inside the traps. Too many close calls. “They” said sailfish were not offshore of Tampa bay- proved that wrong too.
