@@stellaluna6022 mitski is on a different level. everything, every sound you hear in mitski music is intentional. the sounds that are usually "unintentional" are overtones, which sort of is what is produced when different sounds collide. if u have a very refined ear and u do a lot of ear training you can hear a lot of what she does and somehow she can control them to an astounding degree. its what makes her sound so cohesivally chaotic and is able to reflect herself in all that. sorry this was long and like 2 months late but i really wanna be a musicologist and make sure Mitski in the future is remembered for the musician she was. in the same leagues as the great titans that made modern music. another small word ramble i think when people say the classical composers inspired modern music its bc, they're the ones who made musicians Household names. the start of popular music. music is amazing. mitski is amazing.

It's beautiful and all the songwriting is great but the "intricate" may not be the best choice of words. Not really a complex chord structure or face melting guitar solo.

i really feel like mitski’s at a peak of her performance when she could really just be in touch with herself and her emotions. i’ve always find her vocals and performance breath taking when she’s performing solo in a small, quiet room like this... there’s something special about her and i love it
