The so-called criminal justice system is a joke. This woman just went to prison; hasn't even served one-third of her sentence, and she's already up for parole because she's behaving well in prison. She is supposed to behave in prison and should not be rewarded for that. That woman needs to serve every single second of her 30-year prison sentence. She didn't get caught for 7/8 years, and then if she serves less than 10 years, it's worth it to her because she is able to get free education, free college degrees, and free doctorates in prison. I don't understand what is wrong with the US. Why does the U.S tie a shoestring just to untie it? Why give sentences just to undo it? People who have non conspiracy and non-lethal or injurious crimes should be the only ones to be eligible for parole.

The over population of a prison should have nothing to do with how long a person stays there if that person committed a crime that led to someone's death. Watching this entire hearing really angers me- to see her sit there and beg for own life and freedom- while Lorenzen didn't have that chance. I am the victim of having one parent murdered by the other- so I know how this feels for the kids. Their lives are forever ruined. There may or may not have been violence in the marriage- but they were divorced and he lived hundreds of miles away in Atlanta- so he was not a threat to her. All I have heard was her playing the victim and how she was forced to "play along", and how she went along with it because she was afraid for her and the kids' lives. She has definitely not evolved. She is actually still blaming him for everything- even after his death. She didn't want to give up the lifestyle to which she had become accustomed. Killing him would grant her that opportunity. She needed the money. Otherwise she knew the time was coming that he would not be able to support her lifestyle. If she could ever utter those words and admit it- she may have a chance at parole.

I am personally a child who experienced the murder of one parent by the other and I know that feeling.
