This isn't me debating it's just a little clarity. TERFS are feminists who don't recognize trans women as women. That's right, the woman who says people attack her because she has a vagina still thinks women can not have one and still be a woman.

It used to just be "Other countries have different cultures and norms, we might have to make an editors note for context here" but turned into "THIS piece of entertainment doesn't align with MY personal views of society! We need to make it about something completely unrelated and change the purpose of the story and alienate the audience!"

Thank you for the nearly hour long video. I'm not as familiar with all the topics involved, but when I read that this was about translation. That piqued my interest. As one of my friends does translation professionally. Often working with teams to bring over Japanese games to the American market. The bit about Working Designs made me have so much mixed feelings. Alundra is one of those games that has stuck with me, and I beat a few years ago now. I only recently learned that Working Designs not only had a reputation for a little overzealous translation work, but also a penchant for making their releases significantly harder. That one line in particular made me stop dead in my tracks from narrating the dialogue because I was reading everything out loud for a stream. I haven't personally watched anime recently due to having other things dominating my life. However, when I did, and whenever I get back to it: I prefer subs. I don't want someone else's interjected dialogue. I want to hear the lines in the native language and hopefully with the intention of what is supposed to be said. Not someone's braindead political opinion on things. That's not what I watch or read or engage with media for. I don't have as strong a perspective on boycotting western game releases, but I have pretty much dropped off the radar as far as paying attention to anything AAA. To learn that many Japanese studios have moved Stateside and may become infected with this parasitic zeitgeist is appalling. I want fun, smart, thought provoking media. Not a lootbox, pay to win, please insert credit card excuse of an application posing as one. All that said, you've made me interested in checking out your work. So kudos to you, good sir!

I don't particularly "boycott" western games. I just have a cut-off date. At least, until something changes, y'know? There's plenty of old games to check out. Thanks for watching!

Also don’t know if you get to the term specifically in this video but have misogyny in the thumbnail. When the F did everyone start overusing the word wrong to sound smart? Hating any group is pretty bad in my book but the word means hate which is different from things like guys who are pigs, chauvinism, admiration of women, and yes even simply disagreeing with the person who wants to label you with that word for the disagreement alone…
