Thanks Matthew! I love these videos. I am going to start looking into my own family heritage. I took the dna test last year and couldn’t believe how diverse my ancestry is. You live abroad, right? Are you going to be voting in the upcoming elections? I like being able to help the country of my ancestors even if it’s something as simple as voting.

Hi Matthew, your videos have been very helpful. I have come to a roadblock. My uncle and aunties want to know of their parents marriage. They don’t know. I search on gendatabase and got the date. I’m pretty sure they were married in Cape Town. After going through your steps I still couldn’t find their marriage certificate. Are there other files where I can find there marriage? They got married on 5th August 1939.
