Man this is great! The creeks here turn off around muzzle loader season and don't turn back on until late March. Of course im talking about creeks half this size or smaller but dang son what a blessed day of fishing!

I respect the fact that you’re recording fishing up north where it gets really cold. I’m in NY and fishing up here is a real challenge. You have to know what you’re doing. My cousins who live in the south don’t have to worry about bait shy or line shy fish. They think I’m crazy for using 64 ounce jugs with half inch skirts on 2 and 4 lb test line.

@@jigginwithjake2796 cool ..I fish it here in Decatur , tail end from our dam. I walk the banks , it can be rough , but wow the fishing is great . For all kinds of fish , I can already tell ya know it's loaded. The furthest ive scouted from tail from the dam , is clear down by the rock springs area. We have a lil hot water spillway on the river it's awsome winter time fishing for sure it's the whole key to the Stevens creek housing tank small mouth , it's their winter home , so 12 months they can grow so it's a freaking big fish factory for sure my probably will be my pb 2023 crappie 16"and dab burn was it wide . I love the river , I grew up in Oakley IL..fishing the sangamon north end of our lake , so no place like the river .

Typically yes. But central Illinois is also all over the place with weather. This year has been unseasonably warm.

Depends on the lake. If no lake regulations. It’s state guidelines. Which is no length no creel. Most lakes have some type of 10 over 10” regulation.

That one is the Kastking Emerald Eagle. They don’t make it any longer. Now it’s the valiant eagle and it’s gold instead of green. But Piscifun Vioer X reels look great with an ACC rod. Durable and affordable as well.

1000 series Kastking emerald eagle on this one. They discontinued that color and went to the valiant eagle which is gold. I also use the 1000 series Viper X from Piscifun.

Yeah that Illinois country has a lot colder weather than the California Valley. But if we want that Snow in the Sierra Mountains, it is just an hour or so away. 🏂
