It's very difficult to keep a camera steady on a moving boat at full zoom. But I think if this is genuinely from Loch Ness that this video seems impressive. It doesn't appear to be a sturgeon as there are no visible ridges along its back and the dorsal fin isn't set back far enough. However it does look like a blue whale's dorsal fin. It would be VERY helpful to have more information about this film, where it was taken etc. BTW, there is no known population of sturgeons in Loch Ness.

Well, there's certainly a living animal swimming there, but it doesn't look like the Loch Ness Monster. As others have said, its backside resembles a finback whale. Then again, if this was truly taken in Loch Ness, it can't be a whale, because that lake has no whales. Nice video!

The people who you can hear talking in the background seem surprisingly underwhelmed at spotting one of the most mysterious creatures (or monsters) on Earth, something which thousands of tourists travel to Loch Ness every year to see (in vain, of course). One might at least expect "Holy Sh*t", "Jesus", "Good heavens", "My word" or "Golly!" But no, all we get is "go down to the lower deck"! How thrilling.

First I'd say a whale, but as there isn't any breathing bubbles in front of the hump, it's a bit complicated to conclude. Since I can't come up with some other kinds of big water-living animals, there look like that, it all depends on where it was. Did it take place in the actual Loch Ness lake, dude?

@Fryer2k9 A small bay can shelter from large waves, this could allow shallower sides. In that sense, this wouldn't even be a coastline - a coastline doesn't even have to have cliffs and beaches anyway. The point im making is this clearly isn't a 'monster' but instead something like a whale, if your trying to defend a fictional tale then there isn't much point in me responding.

lets take some time to look at turtles. science has show that the internal organs of turtles do no break down over time. in fact, the lungs, heart and liver of a turtle that died of aging are indistinguishable from those of a young one. seing how turtles have organs that dont age, its not impossible for an animal to age signifigantly slower than what you would think.

people gotta be open minded, the loch is over 36km and has an average depth of 132 m, it's also recently been discovered the existence of large underwater caves, who knows what could be down there, i mean u gotta look at it both ways, eyewitness accounts are unreliable but u can't immediately dismiss them because there are some who do tell the truth, the reason people rarely see whatever the loch ness monster is clearly, is because the animals would live deep and surface rarely to breathe

Alot of people dont know that there are caverns and tunnels at the bottom of Loch Ness, maybe theres some form of creature, that lives like an eel, living in the ground down there and surfaces occassionally... still could be a new species, that would be awesome, but people should really think that 'loch ness monster' as a species of reptile and not a 'monster', then maybe people would throw money in to research it....would be cool having lived near there myself.
