It's honestly pretty neat seeing a faker-type entity that's not inherently malicious; he's just a guy been through hell and back. -He's not too openly hostile, he willingly initiates the song on his own terms -Transforming into a shorter version to mimic original BF could possibly be attempting to be more approachable/relatable to his counterpart -It does seem heavily evident that his GF has passed, and he just wants someone to be proud of his perseverance: his late GF, original BF, maybe Divide, maybe even us as the viewer Objectively, this being his debut in song might very well be his 'first ever opportunity' to present to the world how far he's come.

Himself asking to 'stay awake long enough to see my way'. Divide died due to cancer, and he's basically asking to stay awake and alive long enough to see the way he's come now. Pure confidence. 0:01-0:03-- BF is determined, confident, and walking without any fear. 0:06-- Although confused, he's ready for a fight, but that soon ends with his confidence and smugness. (Also shown on his icon) -0:21 Normal!Bf has his hand in his pocket, so does Lookalike, only on the opposite side. Like how it'd be in a mirror. (Ironic, since he comes from a mirror.) Lookalike/Yourself! BF doesn't have that. The creator really nailed the feel of a "Lost/Broken soul" with him. His movements copy normal Bf's, which would pretty much be how he used to be, although he has his own movements, he tries his oldest tactics to try feeling like, well..himself. (Pun intended) 0:19- They both do said peace sign in sync. 2:02- When he shrinks, Normal BF is still smiling, both hands out, and overall still giving off encouraging/confident vibes. Lookalike still has his hands in his pocket, and his stance looks almost afraid/nervous. 2:04- The British finger thing tho🤌 2:35- Lookalikes shoes have (untied) strings, a white front-tip, and he also has a shirt underneath his first one, normal Bf doesn't have strings nor markings on his shoes. 2:57- When Lookalike copies/repeats Bf, he rises back to his prior height, and the notes he sings seem to get faster (to me at least) -Also, if you pause at the right time, Lookalikes leg twists to a full 360, so the front of his foot is FACING him. Basically, backwards leg. However in the next frame its normal. 2:58- The pose reminds me of a stretch a person will do in movies right before rolling their shoulders, cracking their knuckles, and getting down to fight. 4:21- Lookalikes notes go a little slower then Bf's, although itd still be hard to do, its just slightly easier. 4:53- Even when he leans forward, Bf just stands there, looking at him dead-on. Also, Lookalikes ears are sharp, but his teeth arent. Speaking of which, for his appearance, are pretty well taken care of. 5:01-5:03- His left arm does the thing. 5:06-5:07- Hos spine does the thing aswell. Flexibility 100! 5:07-5:16- His left hand keeps his 2 middle fingers still, together, while the rest of his hand is just..there, those 2 fingers are stiff as fuck. 5:31- Something about this pose always makes me think bes gonna put his hands on his knees, bend over, and take a very long inhale of air. (Mainly cause of that longnote) Edit: More stuff. 0:06- The mic has a wire/cord attached to it, but in playthrough neither of the mics do. The cord also disappears when picked up. -Lookalike/Himself! Bf's hair is not only messier, but also a little darker then Normal! Bf's.

I was a fan of the original game but never stuck around long enough to deviate from that and find the mods, but what I see from the outskirts has been absolutely stunning. The characters, the stories, the art behind it all, people making their own games, the *communities* . It’s unlike anything I’ve seen in a while for a game community and the few mods I have seen have blown be away AND THEYRE FROM SOME YEARS AGO ANYWAY. I also am hearing that one of the creators of this mod or someone around it has passed and unfortunately I don’t know much about them but I offer my condolences and it seems so many people do too which goes back to my point of the community being great and really caring for the other people involved. It's "Yourself" a character made by, as @BlueAxolotl67 said, Divine. An AU version of Boyfriend that can shapeshift (Unsure how), he lost his Girfriend who's named "Herself" and in the lyrical part could be seen as a mourning for her saying how much he wishes her to be proud of him still, or as an emotional tribute to Divide who passed away while in development of Sonic.exe 2.0 back in 2021 I personally like to see the lyrics sung by "Yourself" as: "I'll make you say how proud you are of me" Since it's Divide's character "So stay awake just long enough to see my way" talking to Divide saying "if only you had been here longer to see how far I've come" Which wouldn't be too far off as a theory considering "Yourself" in this mod is a tribute to Divide, so in both ways it's just really sweet and definitely ups this song as a certified banger to my top favorite song of FnF for having such deep connections to it's original creator
