Locking my hair is best decision ever I spend less than 5 minutes arranging my hair in the morning. Really numbering my days. Lol. I don't look 'ugly' in the morning like in my wig and weave-on days. Expenses cut down tremendously. Headaches reduced. Less energy spent deciding what new hairstyle to do. My edges are back, hurray In short, my quality of life has increased.

My first time commenting on your channel. Ezinne I am speechless, I have always wanted to lock my hair from teenage years after seeing the likes of Dakore Egbuson in movies. However, I made the bold step to cut off my long relaxer hair after the COVID lockdown. Been on a natural hair thingy since then, all of a sudden I began to become soooooo obsessed with locking my hair, I noticed I didn't have the courage to do it even though I loved it, so I went to God in prayer overnight tonight, asking him if I should lock my hair or relax it. It's been months since I saw your videos, I don't even know how I ended on KZbin today cos I had planned my day, only for me to see you on locs😍, OMG, I am so in awe, definitely a yes from God for me, just like you I have a folder on my phone's gallery of rootlocs and sisterlocs. Almost 10 years loc'd here. A lil trick: dilute your shampoo and conditioner ( when you are loc'd for longer). Yes dry brushing for lint is something for longer loc'd ppl LOL

Coincidentally, I have also had (loose) natural hair for about 8 years and, ngl, it has taken dedication to leave it that way considering the fact that I do not even wear weaves (and come rain or shine, the hair had to HAIR). I know for a fact that my hair is going to be loc'd (no creamy crack here) by (or, at) my 30th year, and already have tooon of resources to make the transition smooth. The other day I installed mini twists,and toyed with the idea of just interlocking, lol. Your hair looks amazeballs, Ezinne🤩🤩🤩

It is true lint (aka little balls of material that can get stuck in your hair, from your clothes, sheets etc...) will get stuck in your locs if you don't keep your hair covered when lying around and going to bed. You can't avoid having lint in your locs, but we want to prevent getting too much of it in our hair because if not, it will show up as little white balls all over your head, if you allow it to get stuck inside your loc. Your best bet it to pick it out as soon as you see it on the surface of your hair. People saying brushes helps, I've never tried it since I have starter locs, but I would just wait until your locs are more mature to start brushing, that way you dont undo them or mess them up from brushing them too soon. Hopefully that helps.
