LS seems more reserved and contemplative now that he is a coach in the LCS. It seems like he is very carefully considering his words (I’m sure this is to make sure he is representing C9 well, not revealing strats, etc.). For me personally it makes the show better because the tone seems more conversational and thoughtful rather than hot takes and bludgeoning opposing views.

Just wanted to touch on the coaching part. Most people don't know what coaches do in eSports because many viewers either never watched or played any team sports growing up. Watching film to know other teams plays or in league knowing what they might pick and preparing match ups, coming up with drills and working with players to improve skill, passing down knowledge so they can focus more on the play and mechanics while the staff around them theory crafts how to play things out better. All this plus explaining how the they see yhe game, how he can get different pieces to work together better, and being the person to lead the team are all important. This is a small list of things they do and to fully understand what they do without seeing it or experiencing it is hard to describe. Also we have as a league went from no coach, to having someone basically b a babysitter or in charge of schedules, to someone with some leadership ability as an ex player to career coaches in a short period. It's hard for people to understand all this when coaching in league has grown more than any other aspect without getting to watch them do their job.

@sakurasilence63182 жыл бұрын
I don't think its over analyzed but rather that it's hard to find the useful information, or the relevant information 100% of the time because there is so much information out there. There are definitely right or wrong decisions because each action you take in game raises or lowers the % probability of you winning the game. Your condradicting yourself because skill and decision making go hand in hand, higher skilled players should make more correct decisions than those of lower skill.
@raymondslylopez58062 жыл бұрын
The outcOme of the game is based on what the 2 OPPOSING TEAMS doing in that same game, you fell like that because you feel like U cant control game on your own way because there are 4 teammates in that same game as u. That's why mentality and attitude is key in this kind of games, the game escalates as it go longer which you feel dreadful if u lose the game. Just calm down man, there is a case why most traditional athletes excel in this types of video games because of their mentality and attitude approach of how they play which positively affects greatly amongs their teammates they played with. Good luck man.

I like having LS on the show but as the head coach for one of the teams that will be covered, should he be? Don't get me wrong, I don't always agree with his takes but I respect the hell out of them. Dude thinks about the game different and I respect that. But when C9 gets brought up what can he really say? It just feels weird? Maybe I'm looking at it from a traditional sports take where have Bill Belichick on NFL today every single week as a host would be weird af.
@vonwaq2 жыл бұрын
its not that deep
@HawgJawn2 жыл бұрын
It's not that weird - like Dgon said, it's going to start feeling more like an interview now that he's coaching. It's good for C9 to get more hype. It's good for the show that LS is getting more attention. The reason you don't see coaches on TV networks often is the time commitment. Plenty of active head coaches do go on broadcasts after being eliminated in playoffs before the next season starts. LS probably spends 0 time on Facecheck prep on the other hand, and doesn't have to travel to a studio. As long as C9 is winning, LS can do whatever he wants. If they are having trouble in the summer, you may see him pressured to focus on coaching exclusively. I kind of suspect he's going to stream way less than he thinks he will. Max certainly dropped off after joining C9.

I like LS but I can't help but laugh at how sickly he is, and how much of it seems...placebo at most. Jet lag? Really? Looking at his sleep schedule in Korea vs. when he got to the US, there's no reason why he would be dealing with even minor jet lag. But he is plagued by physical ailments. If there is a 4% chance he would get something, he will get it. Once he has it, if 1% of people with it experience x symptom, he has it. Not only does he have it, he has the top 1% worst case of it
