This scene is so well done. It is super memorable and entertaining with quotable lines, but the amount of information that it naturally gives the viewer is amazing. It goes over everyone's name well, introduces that they grow cannabis, shows who is in charge and who are the screw-ups, explains that they are sending a large amount of money out and also introduces the security cage and establishes that they don't often keep it locked. For how fast this movie moves through its many layers, scenes like this hold it up and help viewers along the way.

I think Winston might be my fave character in the movie. He's just permanently stressed and exasperated while everyone else is too chill and high as a kite hahaha. Plus he's kind of one of the more harmless villains of the lot. He just wants to count his money in peace, dammit! And his idea of self defence is locking a cage and packing a wimpy little air rifle in case he absolutely needs it.

I do like the setup that while Winston points out that Gloria's "wasted", he doesn't treat her with anything like the disdain he directs at Willie and Charlie, even though Gloria's barely able to stand. It's _Willie_ who thinks "that" refers to Gloria. To say the setup pays off later is a *severe* understatement. Rule of threes.

I have never taken that into account Winston is smart enough to avoid suspicion from cops or armed robbers (doesn't work for Dog's crew though because Plank accidentally discovers the money) but lacks the firepower and will to resist Rory so has to rely on him for "protection". Rory may be cruel but he's definitely not stupid enough to randomly execute those that fail him (Ex: Nick the Greek survives the hatchet because Rory knows he has info about his "thieves"' address)

He's smart enough to not attract the police and he's cautious about who they deal with and knows to be on guard even around someone like Plank he was pissed off Plank was too comfortable around them in another scene. Plus he earns Rory a fortune and has made himself so useful Rory won't kill him despite being robbed blind. Rory may be a lunatic but he's clearly intelligent he knew if he killed Winston he'd never get the weed and money back and his perfect fall guy is gone meaning he's gotta put his trust in someone new whereas he already knows Winston is too scared to ever dare and double cross him.

Perfect. Winston is very clearly a proper business man, taught at the finest Public Schools in England. He knows his business partner’s method of trade and this is a serious undertaking. His stress juxtaposed with his team’s chill suggests his focus keeps him from sampling any product until the deal is done. Business before pleasure.

A airgun is sufficient to deter pesky "customers" who are unarmed and "trapped" outside of the cage
