Nice one Roger. I've not been very original but I started a "our family in lockdown during Coronavirus Quarantine" session where I intended to take one photo a day. Just family snaps etc for us and the kids to look back on when all this over. In 10 or 20 years, it will be quite something for the kids to have I think. Although "1 photo a day" soon became nearly "1 roll a day"!! I've shot 3 rolls of 120 in the last 5 days.

I had never heard of solarizing prints before this, pretty neat. I also preferred the shot with the back light, I think it gave the flower more dimension. Cool stuff.

Great video. I've been metering like this with some Agfa 25 b/w 120 that expired in January 1992. Will use stand development on it. It's rated at ISO 25 but since it expired 25 years ago (I was still in high school!) I metered it at ISO 6. Should get similar results to your overexposed shots.

It was in my back garden. In the summer it's hours after sunset which means setting an alarm to wak up At 3am to close the shutter. Now it's winter it's better as you can start a trail at 6pm and finish a few hours later but cars can drive past with headlights on. I need to pluck up. The courage to invest in driving to a location and camping in the car for hours waiting for exposure. Good fun though

Yep trying to keep busy, Okay, a film development question. Hopefully your good self or somebody else will know what I did wrong, 'cos I did something very very wrong. First time developing Colour 120 film (Ektar 100), followed exactly the same procedure as my C-41 35mm and came out with a totally clean pinkish red result; not a hint of anything on the negs. I don't think its the camera, shutter is working and film is winding on. My pre-wash came out a glorious shade of Deep Purple, serious heavy metal coloured, so I knew something wasn't right. I can only think of two possible fault options - either my pre-wash was too hot. I use the hot tap but its not effected my 35mm negs before, or my developer is exhausted. Its maybe both but exhausted developer doesn't explain the deep purple pre-wash. It just looks like the film was washed clean. Any ideas of how I balls it up so badly would be gratefully appreciated.

Peter Elgar is your man for colour Iain.

The purple tint is the antihalation backing... it’s here to protect from light reflection going through the film reflecting on the back paper, making a halo on you neg ( famous film for this effect is the cinestill as they remove the remjet layer, acting like antihalation layer) So nothing went wrong with your pre wash, I think your developer must be exhausted, or you fix it before developing it

Today I left the house, I simply had to. Avoiding social contact, I took with me my Super Ikonta with a Roll of film in it and aimed to shoot some landscapes. I loaded that film last week and since I usually shoot hp5 I treated it as such. Turns out it was the one roll of Delta 100 I owned and naturally, I feel like an idiot. Now, everybody on the Internet seems to think that pushing delta 100 is a terrible idea so my question would be, is that true? and If you had to, how would you go about it? Love your videos and these days I love them even more. Greetings from quarantined Switzerland and hang tight!
@Ethaningramphoto4 жыл бұрын
You can push it. It’ll get rather contrasty. Delta is a fairly flat film to start with and won’t be too bad. You’ll get some useable images still.
@mike7474364 жыл бұрын
I’ve shot it at 200 and didn’t see any reduction in quality on a 11”x14” print (120 film).
@ShootFilmLikeaBoss4 жыл бұрын
I don't think I have ever pushed it. I wouldn't worry if I was shooting street or anything rustic such as buildings where grain wouldn't matter but landscapes I'd be expecting grain in the sky. I found this link out of curiosity. www.flickr.com/photos/tags/Ilford%20Delta%20100@400/
