The Atlanta Braves had a chance to completely control their own destiny with a victory on Sunday, but they were unable to mount anything offensively in a 4-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals. That forces a decisive win-to-get-in double header against the New York Mets at Truist Park on Monday.

Nope .... We don't have anything for the playoffs except pitching. Just give up now and get healthy for the off season. We don't have anyone on offense at all

How the heck did we win it all in 2021!!!!! Last year, career years for all.....This year, injuries and BAD hitting!!!and bad managing!!! Do away with not playing for 5 days after the regular season Ends!!

I am not a big fan of Jorge Soler but he is hitting .364 in his last 7 games with OBP of .500 , so maybe he should be batting 2nd tomorrow with Laureano 5th (not that he is doing great recently) and Ozzie 9th.

Braves have beat thr odds, by getting in the pennant race. They had 3 chances to win one game. Now they have 2 chances. I like their chances. Snitker is the main factor, if not hitting, small ball.

I felt Morton was a good choice to start the game but scoring only 2 runs is hard to keep a winning streak.

Look barring a TOTAL meltdown both the Braves and Mets are getting in the postseason because whoever wins game 1 isnt sending their top guys out for game teo with the playoffs the next day. That said you HAD to win today because you could have set your rotation up perfectly for the wildcard and if you cannot win game 1 tomorrow you may as well not bother because you cannot survive the WC series without Sale.

Look .... I don't blame this year as the Braves just sucked. I blame it on the injuries. I mean come on .... If any other team lost as much as the Braves; they wouldn't even win 60 games. Give them a break ...

Yeah you really should be able to win a game where your pitching only gives up 4 runs and your opponent is throwing a bullpen game with their closer down.

@@kyleOWillFixIt Yeah but we can't, snitker knows that, everyone knows that. IMO trying to hold off sale was a REALLY dumb decision. Now we're facing a mets team that actually cares you use him?? Honestly one of the most baffling decisions of all time in my opinion. Why tempt fate and try to get away with using the worst starter?

@@bullythebooks Because if we can't hold our best starters back for the WC series were cooked anyway. Pitching Sale instead of Fried or Lopez or Schwellenbach would not have changed anything because we won all those games anyway, so to change anything you would have to throw Sale instead of Morton which means he's out completely for the WC round. No, holding Sale back was the only play that MAYBE gives us a chance to get past the WC and if we can win game 1 of the DH it was a great move. That means despite this whole mess we get Sale, Fried, Lopez on regular rest for the WC which is a legitimate miracle given the circumstances. If we can't win the first game we're cooked but we would have been cooked anyway because of the scheduling we were forced to throw our 5 best pitchers in the 4 days before a postseason series. The reality is that if the offense came to play yesterday and pushed some runs across every person in these comments and every journalist in Georgia is writing this morning about how brilliant it was to hold Sale back. If Schwellenbach wins game 1 today they still will and if we manage to advance past the WC it will be entirely because of that decision.

@@kyleOWillFixIt Ok but all that garbage you typed out makes no sense because he will most likely be pitching today anyway. If you pitch him sunday he is ready for game 3 of the WC round. Now he won't be ready for the WC round at all if he pitches today..so I fail to see how any of what you said makes sense. It's a complete gamble and that's a really dumb gamble to make IMO

@@bullythebooks He's not pitching today unless they lose the first game. If they do that's on them all they had to do was win one game in the last two. If you don't get it that's not Snitker's fault just watch how this plays out and you'll figure it out as we go.

Look no further than the braves lineup. The first 4 in our lineup is alright, but after that you have urshela, Soler, Murphy, etc ...... We have nothing after the first 4 in lineup. And even Albies isn't doing great.
