I wouldn't have had Thorne in there after that Maryland game. Much less after him going rogue and changing the play and then lying about it. It's not a good sign that Auburn asked Perry to red shirt and he said no. That screams he's going to the portal. It's time to play Hank again and prepare for the future. Hugh should have stayed with Hank from the get go.

Just cause he spreads the ball better doesn’t mean it won’t result in multiple interceptions cause he can’t read zones right now and defenses are too fast for him. Hank isn’t the guy of the future either way.

He didn't throw 4 picks, technically 3 but one was a terrible call and hit the ground with the DB trying to pick it off the grass, not a bad throw if you watch the film, a little high, that happens with a redshirt freshman, one terrible pick in the flat, the last one, and the first was a fluke tipped ball where the db turned around into it after turning his back on the QB, this pick throwing machine narrative is factually false.

@@autk Brother I am saying against defenses better than even Arkansas I’m saying he will throw Atleast 4 that is ridiculously obvious with how performed against them, throwing 3 picks in just 13 throws in that game he certainly was on path to throwing more which is exactly the reason he got pulled. At the very least I can say with Payton is we have dropped the turnover rate which was killer and a large part in our losses, 3 picks you lose to every sec team you play. He didn’t turn it over once against UGA. But look… I get it y’all are over Thorne, so am I but the answer is not Hank this year and even next most likely, if he was he would have kept the job he had or even beat Payton out in the offseason.

He threw 2 picks, one hit the ground on that layout by the Arkansas DB, terrible flag, not a pick, it wasn't a terrible pass, just a tad high, it was on line.... the other was tipped on a freak play where the DB turned his back on Hank and then turned immediately back into the interception, fluke... One horrible throw in the flat for a pick. Then panic ensued.

Better than him asking to redshirt. I like Shane Beamer's response to that. Fact is the majority of freshman aren't ready to make the jump out of high school. This is football. These aren't just shiny new toys and we are the kids that wanna see them get used. Players need time to acclimate. They need to get their bodies developed and even then they may look the part but they still can't take the physicality of the game first year. Cam Coleman looks like a beast but he's already banged up and has been disappointing in the run blocking game.

Mike G. the reason that Ryan Williams is seeing more action than any of Auburn's freshman receivers is simple: He is better than any of Auburn's freshman receivers. I'm not saying that Auburn's freshman aren't good. Ryan Williams is just prob the best wide receiver in the country as a true freshman.
