I found the film well done. To all those saying what you would have done as in a more intense reaction, that’d great for you. Thing is, people panic when it comed to friends and family and teenage heard don’t have us heralded to be the best decision makers. I like how the film covered so many nuances of her reflection, and how approval-seeking she was of her friends - then to become a hero to stand up for what is right of girls she perhaps didn’t even personally know - perhaps even saving the guys from becoming people who think they can get away with more and more. It takes one to break the cycle and I’m glad she did. I wish there would have been more resolution after where she broke up her friendship with them and it was certain that she did not regret her decision.

@Aurora Endevour Why so defensive. I only stated facts. And that statement is true for everything. Talk shit about your parents with your friends you develop a stank attitude towards them. Talk shit about school, education, your teachers, you act a ways about it. Cz that's what you are feeding your mind. Where did I say that if girls, LGBTQ or other minority groups did it, it's ok? 👀 I offered a general statement, and you chose to feel accused. Check yourself. That nasty talk happening in private. still nasty. If you can't say it to their faces, then maybe you shouldn't be saying it at all? 🤷 I went back to listen to the Trump tape. And no, consent isn't what I took out of that private conversation. You can still have banter without it being all that. Have a reflective day Aurora.

The girl is friends with a group of boys, she finds the laptop and reads the group chat that has the football team members and they sexually assaulted a girl whilst she was drunk and other gross stuff, the girl told the councillor who told the football team coach, and the boys were unhappy with her as u can tell from the end.

I still have good guy friends, left those who are untrusted and mean and doesn't respect me, being as a girl in their group (some also criticize me for having guy friends but neh leave those people behind just let them waste their opinions and words on something so dumb)
@mikylaj55645 жыл бұрын
It’s so sad how real this is. Discovering what some of the boys you’re friends with really talk about and do is awful, and it fucks up your brain. You’re friends with these people but they’re doing these awful things and you want acceptance but you are absolutely revolted at the same time. Sadly it’s something I experience much too often. I love my guy friends but it seems like I eventually always discover something about them that I never wanted to know

This would be perfect to show in schools. It demonstrates the hardship of telling a teacher about something you've seen that is wrong. You might loose your friends. But the girl at end demonstrates that it's going to be ok and you've done the right thing. Also big ups for showing teachers taking action. Some movies take the route sweeping it under the rug and it gets worse but sometimes I feel this can discourage people from actually informing someone.

Absolutely loved that. I can see why it's an award winning film. Loved everything about it. The camera work, the use of natural light and of course the performances from all the actors. It's hard to make a short film 13 mins in length and keep the interest of a hostile audience for the entire duration. When I say 'hostile' audience I mean an audience that isn't entirely made up of friends family and well wishes. I stumbled across this on youtube and was entertained from start to finish.

I didn’t understand the sequence where she changed her top and put on some Make-up only to scroll through Instagram
@graceaprilxo5 жыл бұрын
Sevay at the beginning when she went into the bathroom she put on deodorant because she wanted to be like the boys and fit in with them (maybe she was a tomboy idk), and when she saw on the group chat that all the boys were rating the girls for the looks and stuff she felt that she had to dress a certain way for the boys to like her or for her to be accepted, that’s why she tried on all the makeup. and she scrolled through Instagram right after to compare herself to her friend who the boys assaulted (this is what I think sorry for the long comment)

haha i agree it isnt, we have gender roles for a reason. Not saying woman do not deserved to be empowered and rights but feminism creates docile men, and leads towards flipping the script in gender roles creating more masculine women and feminine men, it is not needed. @@friendlyneighborhoodoffend9232
