Most of the damaged leather items can be repaired. They make a specific type of glue just for that. If you don't trust your own skills on an expensive item, find a local leather repair place and they can fix it for you. Also -- mold can be cleaned off of items using white vinegar, it does kill it (know from experience). Since you found mold in that locker, you seriously should wipe down everything that wasn't in a sealed package with a towel dampened with vinegar. Spot test first on items that are worth a lot just to be safe, but nothing I used it on suffered any damage. The smell will fade rather quickly, as well.

I practically live in Okabashi flip flops! I have so many pairs, for daytime, for gardening, they are definitely sturdy and comfortable, & wash well when out gardening.---For once, I wish I'd been at your house when you brought stuff home to show Janna!!!---And a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOO!

Don't judge some handbags as being cheap fakes just because the lining/trim has deteriorated or is sticky. Louis bags made before 1985? all were lined in a material that got yucky like that---but they can be refurbished or cleaned---same with Fendi & a few other brands too. Stuart Weitzman shoes are high-end. Fun locker!

I don't mean this as a criticism only about a learning experience. I used to do this when I was younger, too. I would never bid so much on a nearly empty locker. I know times have changed but, you still need to have margin for profit. I love your enthusiasm.

Things to also consider: 1) zip code and affluence of city 2) trust worthiness of facility management. Those are a couple of the things that go hand in hand with high bids on certain units. FYI. You’ll learn that in time and with experience too.

Bet the storage unit had a slow leak in the roof from all the storage. I wouldn't blame who ever stuff was in storage. Also coud have been stuff from an apartment that had to be packed out and they were paid out for their contents.

some of the better companies have a service they offer to rejuvenate their older pieces. if they dont do it themselves, theyll direct you to a trusted alternative. you wouldnt believe how the stuff comes out looking! literally like new. you pay, but, if it gets you twice what you thought it was worth, its worthy the time to have it done.

approximately 13:25 minutes in - with the Orec handheld sweeper.... I worked at a church as the office manager for 7 years in the 1990s...that is THE model of handheld SWEEPER the housekeeping department used! So, to "date" it a bit! LOL!

Another tip I have for you is on your wrinkled stuff like your wrinkled leather and things take a hair dryer to it or a heat gun if you have one don't get too close to the item but you'd be surprised at what wrinkles it can help take out of things😊

Be careful what you sell if your not 100% certain it's authentic. Brands have lawyers across all platforms buying items if they suspect they may be fake. Then when they receive them they add you to a lawsuit list and then press charges against all who have been caught selling fakes. I've heard fines being $10k plus for some. Whatnot has become notorious for fakes being sold. Just giving you a heads up incase you haven't heard. Might be better off playing it safe and selling anything your not sure about at the fleamarket
