Thank you for this! I think what I was doing wrong that it wasn't locking a=or tightening my strings was not giving it tension!

How do you get the trem arm to tighten?
@weedian7103 жыл бұрын
You may be missing the plastic bushing that goes under the collar if tightening the collar doesn't help.

@@vertigofall Glad to hear you got one. Just about to order one myself, I wish there was a way to keep them from falling out so easily. My 224f came missing it. They are annoying and silly, but they do a good job of keeping the arm in place I love Floyd's but the 1000 series arm needs to be tightened constantly because it doesn't use a bushing. I've heard you can fix a worn out nylon bushing with a lighter, if you can go that long without losing it. Hope you have a great day!

@@weedian710Totally agree. I prefer the Gotoh 510 arm design or PRS with the grub screw idea. Simple and it works!

Bought two AZ Presitge guitars this year. They sound and play so good. These locking tuner heads... they really SUCK ! As others have written, they will not unlock. Best way I've found. Back string all the way down, cut string 1/2" from tuner head, the you can easily turn top of locking screw/nut with your fingers, but really watch where you put your fingers or you'll nail your thumb and index finger with both ends of the exposed string. IBANEZ continues to use these I don't know why, must have been designed by the CEO's two year old child.

I bought an AZ2204B last year and won't buy another Ibanez ever, especially if it has these tuners! I don't know if they are using chinese metal, but these keep stipping threads like crazy. I hate it so much that I'm about to replace the tuners and sell it for $1000, just to get rid of it. I paid $2200.00 for it

I have 2 Gotoh locking tunners failed in less than 8 months after buying the AZ guitar. But don't blame everything on China without knowing the fact. I have another guitar called Kempa, with the locking tunners made in China too. They work fine for almost 2 years. I hesitate if I should replace the Gotoh with China made or Korean made cheap locking tunners. The height of the shaft is longer. This is my only worry.

You could just change the locking tuners to mg-t tuners if you prefer.. it costs like $65

These locking tuners are awful, I‘ve changed them to Gotohs with the locking mechanismen on the back of the headstock. The originals tighten the strings that much that you don‘t get it out. Eanwhile Ibanez is not using them at all anymore.
