I subbed out Gambit for Sera and I’ve been loving how this deck has been playing, I just love playing as much stuff as I can on the final turn. And also I still get the dopamine rush from lockjaw that I’ve come to expect in Snap

I love the deck, Lockjaw is my favourite card and it works great with this shell. I did replace Black cat with Sera though so that you can play a more standard Sera Surfer deck if you don't find Lockjaw.

ok this is nuts. I don't have Blackcat so I subbed in Sera for an explosive turn 6 and it was dynamite. T2 Okoye, T3 Brood, T4 Lockjaw, T5 Sera, T6 Surfer +2 cards into Lockjaw. I had one game where Lockjaw traded Surfer for Ironheart, then traded Killmonger for Surfer. Opponent had Wave'ed on T5 so I couldn't also play Mjolnir into Lockjaw but my Thor ended up larger than their Chavez without his hammer!

Surfer by far most consistent to push infinite I feel… the amount of surfer variation decks that you can build is crazy as I’m pushing past 110 now from season high being 73 last season without brood lol …. I meant I didn’t have brood last season and this season I did… you need brood 100% guys

The crazy thing is he is only ever going to get better as the game goes on. Every possible three drop in the future is a candidate for Surfer just as all four drops are new possible toys for Zabu. Unless the nerf either of this two I foresee the being permeant and successful backbones of the meta.

I used the following for most of last season: angela, scorpion, iron heart, surfer, bishop, rogue, wolfsbane, storm, killmonger, mr negative, wong, sera I was missing most important 3 drops but had pulled mr negative. The combination of sera and negative allows you to play so many cards that brood is often redundant. In addition, with wong in combination with some locations you only need one or two 3 drops in every lane to win easily with turn 6 surfer. You can sub out any 3 drop you don't have with a good 3 drop like thor, maximus, polaris etc. (Obv no mr negative with those) I would keep storm and rogue though for disruption. Without negative I would go for mystique and some good ongoing effect. Maybe iron man. Double iron man is strong even without negative. In conclusion, surfer is amazing because you can just add random scaling cards into your deck and surfer will give you the payoff. You should have at least six 3 drops though, the more the better

Yeah, I agree about the data being skewed.. Those apps need to keep track of Pool/CL for their data. A Pool 1/2 KaZoo deck can have a super high win-rate and seem comparable to Pool 3+ decks, but chances are most of that win-rate is FROM vs'ing other Pool 1/2 decks.

Regarding a competitive scene, maybe have a token limit? I.e. for Series 4 and 5 cards, you are limited to 9000 tokens on cards. So 3 series 4 cards or 1 series 5 and 2 series 4.

I am about to take Surfer in the Token shop, which of your surfer decks variation do you think is the strongest/the more consistent? I mean which is the best surfer deck,in your opinion, between domino surfer-negative surfer-lockjaw surfer? Thx in advance and keep going.

I am not a fan of surfer Negative personally. Lockjaw, Sera or Patriot are all reasonable.

Just played 20 games with this deck. Went 16-4 with an average cube of 1.6. Deck is super fun, but the secret is that you really do have to believe.

I think if you want to win the lockjaw lane you go surfer last but if you want to pull surfer twice to win the other two then you go surfer first. Just a guess

I really wish I could play Lockjaw decks. I am way too risk-averse, which is why I find Snap such a conundrum! It takes me longer than it should to reach infinite because while I'm very good at retreating, I'm not so great at snapping. Cheers Jeff.

@@simongonzalez5805 He'd make you less likely to draw other key cards, and you're sitting on turn 1 in this deck (not playing wasp even if you had it), maybe Nova to play off killmonger is okay or just any other 3-drop - you don't need to play turn 1, you lose out on a lockjaw fodder without the 0-drop so you'd probably get less consistency but it'd still play out well and be a fun deck I think

@@oncle_loutre A lot of people confirmed Jacket is "bad Wisp", so yes... as long as there's no other (0) Drop to be pulled by Mrs. Thor, he will have to do :D I think next mont's dtamined Battle Pass showed there should be variant for Wisp too - would be great, I don't need her necessarily for my CL level, I need her for my Patriot and Lockdoggo deck :D

You almost never play her, but having an okoye’d 8 power cat swing out of lockjaw, the buffing to 11 power on turn 6 is chefs kiss.

I get how good Okoye is in the deck, but what do you think about running Baron Mordo in that slot just to screw with the opponent some? Also, what do you think of using Maximus and either Captain America or Nakia to replace Blackcat and Gambit respectively (cause I don't have them)

Wouldn't really suggest Maximus, cause you typically want to save him till the final turn so his drawback isn't really a drawback. You don't want Lockjaw to accidentally play him early

Just a high power 3-drop, I assume. You can probably slot in wolfsbane to play a similar role if you wanted to.

Just like brood, Thor here as a 3 cost card can solo a lane himself, so I think he's pretty important here

To add onto what John said, the fact that you can play the hammer onto the Lockjaw lane for the free cycle and +6 to Thor is a pretty critical combo. My favorite deck is a Lockjaw/Thor/Jubilee deck with big units and that combo is responsible for a lot of wins.

Indeed but still, competitive inclined people that want to get into competitive snap only would have to either buy (which is not allowed) a full account or actually play the game to get all the cards to train for competitive

I hate silver surfer so much. Basically every single game i play against a Silver surfer deck or a non silver surfer deck that just happens to feature enough 3 cost card that they still put him in there. This card just puts so many stats on the board and just works way to well in too many archetypes. Need him nerfed asap maybe just make him give +2 that would probably already fix it. Surfer is so OP, and it needs to be nerfed asap. The real problem is Brood + Surfer, which is just too good. People out there who are still complaining about leader (not even that strong in surfer/zabu metagame) are not spotting the real problem lol
