So I spent about 10 hours working on zabu hawk list yesterday makes me feel good to see that we're 11 cards the same only difference is I've been running shangchi in the Chavez spot but I'll definitely test her out instead tonight As always Jeff you make fantastic content you keep being awesome and I'll keep watching

Darkhawk most definitely a card addition I can get behind. It is not a must run all-rounder but a very specific topstone for an archetype. with Zabu it seems as if it finally found a stable low variance home. Imagine a card so flexible and universal like Sera or Angela being a Series 5 addition. THAT would make a lot of people angry.

What do you think about adding in Quinjet in place of Crystal? It has great synergy with Moongirl as well as fitting in on turn 5, when u haven't drawn Zabu. This would allow turn 5: Moongirl+Quinjet (build your own Sera) and turn 6: 2 4 cost cards or discounted Darkhawk+Mystique. It also might be worth swapping Chavez for a good turn 6 4 drop like Shang Chi/Enchantress/Drax in this case.

Darkhawk seems so great, love the disruptive shell having a nice payoff that isn't a green fat head. Very good with Zabu, wish I knew when the cards would rotate down through the series.

I’ve been trying out a spectrum/destroyer list with zabu, omega red and sandman. Definitely winning a lot of cubes for now but i feel like as soon as more rogues and enchantresses start coming at me it’s going to start falling apart haha

My favourite way to run Zabu at the moment (since I don't own Darkhawk) is a Strong Man discard build, using things like Hell Cow and Dracula... I tried fitting Ghost Rider in but felt a little clunky

Blade or Sunspot, Colleen Wing, Zabu, Lady Sif, Blackcat (cut her though), Dracula, Wong, Ghost Rider, Rescue, Strong Guy, Hell Cow, Chavez, Infinaut or Hela. But it was a little clunky so I ended up narrowing the deck down to; Sunspot, Goose, Zabu, Mystique, Dracula, Shang Chi, Enchantress, Rescue, Strong Guy, Hell Cow, Chavez, Infinaut. But definitely something that can be tweaked, your 4drops of choice, but the goal is to end with a board that has both Strong Guy out, Infinaut or Chavez in hand, and Dracula on board for 2 very big bodies alongside naturally big statted 4drops like Rescue, Omega Red, Warpath, Jessica Jones, Shuri if you have her etc etc, so I'd definitely take it in your own direction. I just think Strong Guy, Dracula and Hell Cow are really powerful along side Zabu :) especially in a Goose lane so very hard for your opponent to out muscle them.

Playing an ongoing-Zabu deck currently that's having some success (so far - low rank); Warpath and Omega Red are the key cards with Zabu, using him to give us a +10 power differential to trigger Omega's extra power. I also have Wong with Jessica Jones and Drax, but to be honest, that part isn't paying off as good (though wong+jones can set up a lane for omega red as well.) Psylocke, Zabu, Wong, Shang-Chi, Spider-man, Drax, Jessica Jones, Omega Red, Warpath, Crossbones, Sera, America Chavez. I don't have absorbing man or i'd definitely cut the wong package for him, and because of that, I also didn't include Moongirl because i'd prefer to have both to reliably spam spooder-mans. There's room to improve, but it's fun so far!

I've been playing a variation of this list, but with armor over mystique and rescue over Spider-Man. I've found that I can get another darkhawk from moongirl plenty, so armor protects one of them from shang chi while the rescue gave me a nice play (esp immediately followed by an absorbing man) when the pieces of darkhawk didn't come together. The Spider-Man play patterns don't interest me, so having the rescue has been better that way too

I don't have a lot of the Series 3, 4, and 5 cards yet, but this is the list I have been using: Sunspot, Armor, Zabu, Lady Sif, Jubilee, Absorbing Man, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, Jessica Jones, Hulk, Giganto, The Infinaut I wanted a deck that uses Jubilee due to a variant I am trying to level and I have had a lot of fun with this deck. What I hated in Zabu deck that sometimes you draw only your 4-drops and you have no board for 3 turns and playing 3 x 4-drop on last 3 turns feels really bad. I'm playing Zabu and Surfer in the same deck with the best cards both synerging with: Storm/Jessica Jones combo, Shang-Chi, Enchantress, Killmonger to destroy my oponent dreams of wining. Nova is great with Killmonger and I play Sera to have this sick 6-turns when I play my whole hand. Brood of course as well.

i think this is the way to play zabu, all in zabu decks you just retreat if you dont have zabu vy atleast turn 4. i have success playing zabu in lockjaw discard, you either play lockjaw or zabu depending on your hand or both can still be played zabu on 3 then lockjaw on 6 with a bunch of swarms

From the games I’ve played I’d say Zabu into Spiderman + absorbing man is super annoying to face. However it still feels better to face than Silver surfer since at least its very telegraphed, like if i see zabu and snap turn 3 i leave or if they snap turn 5 same (means probably have the spiderman abman combo) and if they don’t snap before playing them you see the lanes locked up and just retreat too.

Psylocke left Game 7 put you lost to Hazmat + Absorbing Man/Wong, which I feel was kind of irresponsible. Definitely unlikely that they'd stay in banking on the 0 power psylocke left, but they would only not bank on that on the assumption that you would never make a play like that. if this sort of pointless suboptimal play becomes more common, some gamblers would probably start punishing them.

The Zabu deck I thought was best was just 2 cards off of this one. -Crystal -Chaves +Shengchi + Sera Shengchi was def the most replacable card, but I liked the Sera helping out your curve in the non-zabu draws. Not sure if Chavez or Sera is the right call, both have their pros, but I am sure you dont want both in the same deck at least.

Cost min can't change, cuz I think that's just how those cost reducing effects work. But imo his cost REDUCTION should go down to 1, so T4 you can 4drop+1drop, T5 you could 4drop+2drop, and T6 would be 2x 4drop. That's more fair imo.

I just surrender when there's a Zabu and they have initiative next turn. They should adjust the matchmaking so that Pass players can fight each other and non-pass players against non-pass players too.

You can still Enchantress/Rogue it without initiative! One turn of 2 4-drops isn't always a wash

Yeah I've been running enchantress, still in early pool 2 that's why my only counter for the Kitty is Enchantress right now. They always try to take initiative so they can play Cosmo in the Zabu location to prevent removal then just spam the reduced cost cards on turn 5-6. Bit frustrating to be honest.
