What if the guest doesn’t have a smart phone? Or what if reception is spotty in that area? What if they are older guests who aren’t tech savvy ?

I just purchased the deadbolt with no finger print. Do I have to have a hub ? Im using this for an airbnb rental
@leeg24685 жыл бұрын
Great. You do not necessarily need the "Link" wifi hub for an airbnb, but I highly recommend it since you then can set codes remotely and get confirmation of when your doors are opened over wifi. If you prefer not to do that or do not have wifi, we also have a slick feature called "Offline Access code" where you still can give renters remote access codes, even without wifi. Here is more info at www.lockly.com

I have wifi and smart phone. I would like to see who comes and goes daily. Should I have purchased a differnet lock that already has wifi ? I think i have the bluetooth lock. I see the wifi hub is another 79.00 after the 199. lock I would like to keep lock just need to understand best choice. Maybe make a video to explain would be great . Thanks

@@kims7387 Sure, you can simply add the Link WiFi hub to your lock and you'll be all set. That Link kit comes with a door sensor as well.

Absolutely hate this product as a traveler. Would rather have a lockbox or a combination lock box. To he using apps is not always convenient, if you are somewhere where reception is spotty, this doesn’t work. I won’t rent from anyone who has these, total hassle. I’m also own investment properties as well.

If I install three Secure Pro units (connected to same Wifi network) for my home's three points of entry do I need to "teach" all three locks the fingerprints for trusted guests? Or is fingerprint info automatically shared between locks?
@leeg24685 жыл бұрын
The fingerprints are all stored locally, encrypted in each lock because of security. So, you'd need to have your users do the fingerprint scan on each lock the initial time. Note it only takes around 10 seconds to do it with the Lockly app, so it's very quick and easy.

Hi Lee, I think I hearded in your video that, in case of airbnb for example, customers don't have to load your app. Do you confirm ? Do you know if your American wifi standards are the same in Europe ? Thank you.
@leeg24685 жыл бұрын
Hello, that is correct that when using our codes that you set including our "Offline Access Code", users such as renters to not need to download the Lockly App. We feel that is a handy feature, especially for renters as other lock brands require them to download their app. On WiFi, yes that works on EU standards as well. Note we connect with 2.4Ghz systems which are the most common.

Can the WiFi hub have more than 1 lock or does each lock need it's own hub?
@leeg24685 жыл бұрын
Yes, the WiFi hubs work with multiple locks. Note the hub needs to be within bluetooth range of each lock, which is approximately 30' depending on your conditions.
@leeg24685 жыл бұрын
yes, the wifi hub can control multiple locks, but note they need to be in Bluetooth range of the wifi hub, which varies by location but is approximately 30 feet of each lock.

Hey, a very nice product. The only worry i have is that th latch version is easer to open because of the metal pin is different than the bolt version. Can you please response?
@mincooper5 жыл бұрын
At 5:43 mark you mention that users with fingerprint access can be controlled. Does that mean that a different access schedule can be assigned for each of these users?
@leeg24685 жыл бұрын
For control of fingerprints, I was referring to how you can easily add or subtract users with the app. The locks hold up to 99 fingerprints. Currently we do not have the option to have specific schedules for individual fingerprint users, but we may look at that in the future.

Good afternoon Lee. Can you tell me why & when I use the latch version versus the lock without the door latch?
@leeg24685 жыл бұрын
Sure, the latch essentially is a door knob replacement, and the other is a deadbolt if your door has that option as well. If you use the deadbolt, our door could either keep the existing knob/lever or add a new one to match colors. Thanks!
@leeg24685 жыл бұрын
sure, one is a deadbolt replacement called our 728 series, and the other is a door knob replacement called Latch 628-series. It depends on your situation, as deadbolt is most common on front/main entry doors, but the latch is used on some doors, and also more so for offices or other doors without a deadbolt.
