Thanks for the review - sadly these look too small/simple to be effective.

Try using that clip in the hole at the end of the pick, it might give you the extra leverage/reach you need. I do like little gizmos, so definitely going to check out GW website.

Thanks for this, I've been waiting for a good review. Been a grim member for awhile and there is some good, some bad, and some gimmicky.

I’d agree with that!

I guess a little more length on the handle would go far, you just can't physically get enough strength/grip to lift the pins. Great honest review as always LN.

If used as a zipper pull, that sticky will end up covered in lint and if the tool is used often then it will fail to remain sticky due to lint and dust sticking to it over time.... it would be better if they were covered in a silicone sock instead of a sticky method...

I doubt they are much more than a couple use items if not a single use one. I can imagine about the only real use for these would be if you lost the keys to your briefcase or luggage and are away from your regular pick tools. That or trying to impress someone at a party for some reason. Your not really going to rely on emergency items like this for a professional, hobby, or illegal activity. You can conceal real picks so easily and have much better success.

Kind of gimmicky , but if you could make your own 3 pack , that'd be great , however , not much practicality to be on my gargantuan keychain full of stuff already. :)
@parapicktog77343 жыл бұрын
I would put them on a cord or chain and wear them as dog tags.
@@ouyeso yes I have watched that before. I was just saying that I would use these picks as dog tags too. It's just a convenient place to keep them so you have them all the time. I already have a handcuff key disguised as a zipper pull, and way too many things on my key chain. Btw: I have also altered all of my handcuff keys and shims to work with split pawl handcuffs as well as regular ones.

Kinda cool stuff and pretty damn cheap. I’d certainly be interested in trying them out but I have some awesome picks including micro picks and they aren’t my favorite. The second one you showed definitely seems to be a LOT better than the first.

Nice as a novelty but I don’t think they work as picking tools. The metal is soft and the picks are just to small to get any feedback. Thank You for sharing.

Why are they making dog tag picks? Maybe I'm overlooking something, but are the cases that most people would carry essential lock picks in so bulky that we need a more compact solution? I get ehy you do videos on these, and some of them weren't even that bad... but seriously, apart from collectors and/or people who don't know any better, who is the market for this type of thing?

Hard to say. The prepper and tacticool crowd possibly? They do have a sort of fun gadget factor 😀

These looks like they were designed by people who were explained to how lock picking works and described how lock picks look like but never seen them themselves or picked a lock lol. Much better off with paper clips.

Absolutely pointless and worthless imo - I'm surprised you were as patient and generous as you were... I like gadgets and nifty little things, I think we all do, but these are just infuriating... (I think I've been triggered)

Pretty accurate 😁

Lockpicking took looks like it designed by someone who has never held a pick in their hand, let alone seen one in person. That one is just a cash grab.
