On a 2nd playthrough, Laura is great with the hidden boss's reward, that +10 cp /turn make her an S-break machine making her speed irrelevant with good support, she literally don't need a turn, just S break all day long

Laura's placement is understandable tho because if you think about your whole playthrough, you would just want laura to use S-craft on a boss rather than use it in every monster you see on the map. If you think about it, you can just use Fie, Rean, Alisa, Emma as main for they are useful for the whole time fie tanking all because of evasion, Rean is there for gale and arc slash, Alisa is there for casting arts and the godly craft for cp recovery and Emma has high magic stat to use an SSS art while making Laura come in as a sub during boss fights to eliminate the boss. You can sub Sara too for more delay and you are good to go.

There is one point I have to disagree. And it's Laura...I know I know I seem like the blind Laura Fanboy. But her Spd ain't that bad. And what does Spd matter anyway when you can one shot the bosses with ease. I really agree with Fie's placement 95+% Evasion Trollolol.

Laura is hard because she's centered around one pretty good strategy. My placement is mostly because she isn't as versatile as others. Love the feedback though!

Still that one hit KO Laura just saved my ass from the final boss of the game basically. I mean I wasnt even tryin and she still hit massive amounts of damage. Walking to a boss fight , battle start , and ten seconds later battle ends given the right setup.but understand why u placed her off of versatile. One hit to end battle or alil near it depending on boss just sounds gud to me tho.

@@terrenceroy9454 there was literally one boss that the one hit tactic didn't work on. And it was the boss of the reverie corridor. The one hit wasn't quite enough. But the second one knocked him down to the point where the remaining S Crafts dealt the rest.

@Mad4Life Dats wat I'm saying. Easily Top tier. With the perks u said along with Carnage +waterfall +overdrive 2= game over for every boss and fight. Then I had roaring dragon gem on her too.so basically she hit the final boss REALLY Hard in the first phase. Just before overdrive 2 came to end I did the dragon gem and everybody got 100+CP back( drive make them use gem magic right away) I spam my s breaks again, and the rest history. Didnt need no Alisa Cp arrows or anything thing else. Still I know for a FACT i can make her more broken and stronger than that smh.

Honestly, for Cold Steel 1-3, when possible the main 4 people I used were Rean/Alisa/Fie/Laura, with Rean/Alisa and Fie/Laura as the links. In 2, I made sure to have Emma/Sara tag along when possible, and in 3 the remaining slots typically went to Juna (for Sledgehammer) and Sara (for Lightspeed Flash), with 7th revolving. Never really had a problem.

i mean rean alisa, laura, fie was my setup too for ii, simply because laura was the best link up partner for fie due to her high attack, while in the background she sets up for a powerful s craft first hit vs boss. emma was then my first sub in for laura due to her being laura, but with magic instead of physical, or well that was the "breeze through" party. i mean alisa and fie basically make it irrelevant who else you are using.

Only thing I think is missing on this list is the mech battles and who pairs best. I completed the first game 100% but the damn mech battles were too brutal for me to wanna keep going. Seemed real unfair. I had Fie as my partner, but I’m sure there’s a better one to be bonded with in that regard.

Laura beats any boss outside of Loa Luciferia with the right set up in 1 attack First things first, give her Tauros MQ and Domination quartz. use la forte on her to buff her attack, use Overdrive when it's a crit turn where she'd get it and on that crit "Howl, Radiant Lion" oneshot Vita on Nightmare.

Difference is that Fie is around almost the entire game while sharon is time limited. Also, Im not sure on this, but Fie can counter from any distance while I dont think sharon can.

Alisa's mech partner skill is pretty useful I find. Especially if you want to use Valimar's counter stance a lot. The CP/Heals is pretty nice.

On nightmare, Sara's debuff isnt good enough to keep you alive. Gaius is only way to get enough CP to defend, moon counter, or seal attack.

I disagree about Elliott. Resounding beat is only 20cp and Holy song can cure everybody's status. Both of them affect him too, not just his team members. His support crafts are really good.

@@redbladegaming9506 Depend, for some reason there are a few enemies (Magic knight especially, but i think there is some random ones too) that completely no sell evasion tank (including the hidden boss, arguably the hardest in the game, and believe me that seeing my girl Fie being hit made her go to the side line real quick, without her evasion she fell very fast)

I'll disagree on a couple of characters. I would've put Laura up higher cuz she's a beast of a heavy hitter. I love pairing her up with rean cuz they do some good crit damage together. And Alisa I'd move down. I mean I can use her ultimate twice if she gets ko'd but other than that eh. I agree Emma is good I always have her in my team when I can cuz she great with arts and support. That and in the 3rd and 4th games her ultimate is really useful. I also disagree with who he thinks is the cutest. My #1 girl is Laura. She the cutest and she also has a lot of good bonding events. Especially in the fourth game. She was the first girl I chose in all the games. My team usually has rean, Laura, Emma, and Guaius. I only switch Guaius for fei in the second game

In a case of gameplay and story integration, Laura best pair up is Fie, just like Rean said in the 1st, together they are the strongest, Fie being the fastest + doing critical counterattack all the time will give lot of attack (and CP) to Laura, making the latter's slow speed a non-factor, while Laura will bolster Fie's lackluster offense by being here

he doesn't know about Wind God Gaius build Gaius with maxed out Thor Master Quartz and Chrono Burst with a CP generating accessory allows you to literally just alternate Chrono Burst > Wild Rage 2 > Chrono Burst > S-craft > Chrono Burst... Repeat, infinitely, with no turn delay a literal game breaker it's so abuseable that they nerfed every Wild Rage user's CP generation in the 3rd game onwards, and even turned Randy's Wild Rage into basically "Baby Rage"

The video creator has some questionable opinions, but if he's looking at endgame stuff (which he mentioned he was in a prior video) then Moebius is possibly the most transformative master quartz when it hits level 5. doubling the curing value of hp/ep cures is wild enough, but then it also gives healing items a small aoe range. Cook the right food items and suddenly you can pick up a whole group and give them a buff or heal their ailments, all without spending cp or casting a spell. You can always give Elliot Moebius, but it honestly was ridiculous how useful it was to give SOMEONE that quartz in Cold Steel 2 (and in Azure as well, sadly I didn't know how busted it could be when I played CS1).

😂 sara can self insight, boost atk, delay, large area craft, highest damaging scraft if you exclude the mirror chars Jusis + emma + alisa combo is godly with platinum shield, crescent and heavenly gift 😂 Sharon with gladiator equip can delay everyturn without losing a single cp with her craft. And she hits hard too Oh and with the proper setup, toval can out dps emma in terms of arts. Tho he has useless craft, who will his turn to use craft anyway?

Around mid-game, fie isnt as great. 100% evade is unnecessary if you use Alisa's heavenly gift. Now you have 3 characters with 95 to 100% evade. So now you just need solution to deal with undodgeable AOE S crafts and magic attacks.

First of all, it is good to see that kind of passion when talking about a game and its characters, trails of cold steel deserves it since it is a great jrpg. Now to the topic. I am sorry to see a video about the usefulness of the characters where Laura is put as a low tier (seriously?). Just as the vast majority already remarked to you, how is it possible that a character who can literally kill bosses in one hit (with the exception perhaps of the final boss of 2) is bad? The things you point out as bad are totally irrelevant at a certain point in the game: Slow Laura ?, nothing that accessories, armor and quarz do not fix, in any way, why you want speed if a use of the S craft ends the combat ?, you can afford to have 1 speed that does not matter. And it really goes the same with the other points, little magic defense and no versatility ?, totally unnecessary when the boss dies of an attack. This video shows that you do not like Laura and you didn't bother to equip her accordingly, it's perfect that you like Emma, ​​it's true that she is the best using the arcus, however there is still the issue of delay when using the arts.

I actually used Laura in my first playthrough. her placement came mostly from research I had done, not personal preference. I don't really care for Machias and would have put him lower if it was personal preference. Guess you can't get everything right though. Thanks for the watch and the comment!
