Sir Billy Butlin and co absolutely had the right idea in preserving Royal Scot in the proper Crimson Lake livery. BR Brunswick Green just looks absolutely drap on her, accuracy be damned.

12:28 Aren't we technically getting something like that with the replica of Patriot Class No. 5551 'The Unknown Warrior'? It is being built in the classic Fowler design, and the class were built with the same chassis design as the Royal Scots as mentioned in yours, Pendennis Castle's, and my top lists on exctinct steam locomotives (or long lost in my case).

Patriots are not the same as Royal Scots. After all, with only 2 out of 70 Royal Scots left in preservation, and both in BR Green, I wouldn't mind a few replicas in LMS livery and the original Fowler & Chambers design.

Well to be fair, the new Patriot pretty much fills the role of an original condition Royal Scot, I agree that Scotsguardsman in the black would be cool, but honestly I think both of them look stunning in the green, you could paint them pretty much anything and they’d still be handsome machines.

BR Brunswick green looks like GWR green. I can see why it doesn’t fit well with LMS and LNER locomotives, especially to British Steam enthusiasts

You forgot to mention that 'Scots Guardsman' was also the star of the 1936 short film "Night Mail." P.S. I agree that both she and 'Royal Scot' looked A LOT better in postwar LMS black. Though are you sure they ever appeared in blue?

6100 was the main subject matter, so 6115 was only mentioned in how much of a stab I think it is to have both Royal Scots in BR Green. As for the blue, don't know for sure if the Scots had them, and it was more likely that sume of the Jubilees had that livery for a little while.
