That's funny. They put a quick lace system but the skates have two laces layers.

The speckle pattern gives a recycled plastic or bamboo composite vibe perhaps? Cool video, can't see how editing would have improved it at all - a first impressions chat was much more interesting than a 2 min essential spec rundown!

Yeah, toilet floor / bus floor / Mini-egg was prob a bit harsh. Would have edited that out usually 😅

They've done a great job with the design of this skate. The fleck is reminiscent of the 90's Nike paint-flecked midsole on their sneakers to me.

Why are 84mm wheels difficult to get when, as you say, it's the "sweet middle Goldilocks wheel size"?
