The best skates I've ever tried is thr Hard Core Evos , nothing can beat that

I find the over flap doesn't carry my shoes very well; they can escape. I also really wish it had a sternum strap. Nothing worse than switching it up to go down some stairs and the bag swings around. Great bag otherwise. I've taken to using an elastic belt, shoutout to arcade belts, to help hold it together.

I agree that FRX is the best for money and I chose them when I came back to skating but now I can say that if you are 90+ kg better go for FR3. My weight is 98kg and on FRX I had too much flex. Broke 3 upper buckles after falling 😡while trying to remember some tricks on higher speeds. Upgraded to FR1 in few months... After upgrading to FR1 the metal buckles actually saves me money and I never had to drive home to change them in 1,5 years, they barely have any color left on them but they are still OK! Stock liner vs Intuition - You should try the skates and see which fits you best. I think Intuition might be better but I have a wider foot and can't fit in downsized skates with intuition liner. But the original liner is very comfortable and fitted perfect for me! Frames are good quality, wheels are good for start but will be gone after few days if sliding. For me FR1 are the best I can't imagine to go with a lower model...

Look like good skates just the color will keep lots of potential buyers of. Good you mention sizing I wear UK 7.5 or 8 which could be exactly same size but it all depends on which brand so to buy skates online is very challenging. How wide they are is also important. Have been researching since couple of months ago and still didn't buy any. Was also thinking skates manufacturers should for their liners adapt technologies from snowboard boot manufacturers which 20 years ago looked like from science fiction movie compare current liners in skates which to be honest looks very outdated and missing some sort of innovation.

I dont think this guy knows much about mounting frames & the holes needed. And if ignorant people like this keep whinging about it, before you know it, we’ll only have ONE hole slot toe & heel end to choose from! That said, at least he’s done a video on mounting blocks. Its nearly ALWAYS left out of practically EVERY skate review and its infuriating.
@LocoSkates15 күн бұрын
Hey Steve - Could you be a bit more specific? What is it about the information on the mounting that you think is misinformed?
@stevej.667415 күн бұрын
@@LocoSkates You mentioned that the furtherest frame mount holes aren’t used (cannot remember your exact quote & dont want to watch the whole vid again). So, as opposed to what you said, a lot of people DO use these mount options, especially speed skaters as they mount their frames very much to the inside. Being a speed skater myself, this is where i mount my frames & if i want to buy a pair of rec skates to cruise on, i’d most likely also want to mount my frames to the inside (quite a lot too). So i dont want buy a pair of rec skates only to find theres only 1 or 2 holes positions to chose from because manufacturers stop incorporating the usual mounting blocks with various options thanks to KZbinrs ignorantly saying no one uses them when in fact skaters do.
@LocoSkates15 күн бұрын
@@stevej.6674 The video is making the assumption that it will be used as a freestyle boot. It just wouldn't make for very snappy KZbin content to go into detail about speed mounting as 99.9% of people will not use the skate with a speed skating frame.
Once again, NO ONE MENTIONS WHAT TF THE MOUNTS ARE! Geez ffs.

Hey guys, I have a question for which I would like to receive the most sincere and honest answer from skater to skater and not from skate salesman to skater. I want to buy some 4x90 skates and I'm undecided between the ROLLERBLADE LIGHTNING 90 and the 2022 FR - UFR 90 INTUITION. Taking into account that I have a slightly wide foot, I leaned toward the Lightning and was really attracted to the memory bucklets, so I'm not sure if it's worth going for the UFR 90. What do you think as skaters? Watching your video of the Rollerblade Nomad liner, I see that they're LOOK good too.
@LocoSkates20 күн бұрын
@rafaguzy2k They’re both on a par really. One person will prefer one over the other and vice versa. The best metric to judge by in your situation is the width… which the lightning would be better for.
