Try summer sausage. You can get it at moat American grocery stores. It's not the same but it's the closest to Dominican Salami I can find in the states.

This was one of my favorite dishes growing up. Dominican salami is definitely different than regular salami but if you can't find it in your area I recommend summer sausage. It's actually similar to Dominican Salami. And if you can't get Dominican oregano you can run greek or italian Oregon in the blender until you get a powder consistency for a substitute. I always enjoyed this meal with a cabbage salad or Casabe if you can find it in your area. 😋 (I bring mine from DR)

I love your channel, and by the way, you're very easy to the eye (with all due respect). Three suggestions (and I want you to let me know what you think): 1. I always like to add, in all my stews, two caps of apple vinegar (Musselmam's is my favorite). In this case, you do that when one's sautéing the vegetables. 2. I like to add to my "locrio" a diced stem of celery (thinly cut up). And 3. I incorporate the cilantro to the whole thing. In order to do that, one just needs to chop it up in very teeny tiny little pieces and make disappear into the rice.

I can't help but notice that every time you add an ingredient from a bowl to the pot or pan, your always leave some in the bowl! Add everything my ocd is blowing up lol good video like always though

I add it in afterwards. If I pause to empty out the bowl, it will mess up the flow when it comes time to edit the video 😉 but trust, no onion, pepper, or garlic is left behind
