I only knew Bruckner as a symphony composer until my trombone ensemble played "Os Justi". Gorgeous piece! It turns out that if you score an SATB arrangement down a major third, the soprano part is now in the alto trombone range. More recently, my church choir did "Locus Iste", much to my delight. Our director's opinion is that "Locus Iste" and Mozart's "Ave Verum Corpus" are the two best pieces of music in our choir's repertoire.

Sorry souls with thumbs down: just 49 downvotes against 4.9K upvotes is less than 1 percent. In statistics you often disregards the extreme 1 percent as insignificant outliers. Yes, there is always a few who disagree, because of a bad hair day, accidentally click the wrong button. Again, statistically insignificant, just ignore. If there were no downvotes one would suspect that youtube is rigging the voting system
@froogsleegs5 жыл бұрын
First of all, the voices are just beautiful. Ethereally haunting and perfectly complimenting each other. I could listen to you all sing for hours. Secondly, the thing that stood out to me was how well made your videos are. I've seen so many voice choir performances shot with a camcorder or something as a second thought, but your video is as beautiful as the sounds in it. The lighting, tone, colouring, all give it a very professional and deeply curated feel. What's on-screen helps describe the arrangement clearly, like cutting across the room to a soloist sat in the rafters. I think that's an avenue to be explored, music videos for choral music. I believe there's a huge artistic amalgamation here and it's truly beautiful, keep producing masterpieces like this. Can't wait to see what you put out in the future. Best wishes and all the success :)
