I've tried out the build and I like it, might start it. One problem I've run into was Proximity shield. If you throw mines outside of it they don't do damage and if mob chases you and you're inside the dome, your mines don't trigger. Is there a good way to deal with it without kiting and throwing constantly?

How annoying is the 3m requirement?

I don't find it annoying at all. Once they blow up, ps has more than 3m range so they pretty much clear the screen. I got used to it pretty quick. The main draw for me is the high damage with cheap gearing for a starter. I'll prob roll a second character after a week or two then respect my trickster ii something else

I just tested this build this morning and it felt good but a bit clunky when you first swap. Once you get to about 50, it’s smooth and deletes everything and my gear was super garbage. The 3m isn’t a big issue. I just threw everything mid range and it would kill stuff far or mobs that got close to me.

Hey I just learned this today, but you can actually pull a beta version of the PoB client by simply going to Options (Bottom Left in main window) -> Opt-in to weekly beta test builds (The last option under application options) -> Click "Check for Updates" and it'll update to the beta build with the updated skill tree.

I league started this and it went super smooth. Im not the fastest player by any means. I play ssf and usually get my first 2 watchstones day 1. That is to say that this was easily the smoothest build ive played with that in mind as the goal. Im excited to see how it progresses. As an SSF player, I can enjoy the fact that the "hardest" part of gear to obtain is the helm and that I don't have to sit in Lab hoping to get lucky on a Transfigured gem build which might drop on my first run or 30th run. Also a bonus where I usually farm Legion right out the gate and looks to be a pretty smooth league starting IIR farmer to boot even if I am only doing a quarter of the damage.

Helping Alira in any build is realistically meant to be a gateway setup and then you should always get the 2 SP later in the game when you don't need the regen and stats.

This has been great for a league starter so far. I’m a scrub at this game but the transition to siphon mines was incredibly well aligned with the tree and the rune augments from khalguur make the damage pretty absurd for campaign. Can’t wait for mapping.

Hi Jung, I was planning to league start Trickster Miner with storm blast mine => Pyroclast mine => Hex blast Mines. How does this build compare to Hexblast mines? I assume you get better clear and coverage, but lose out on some boss DPS?

Thank you for the guide, i have seen some people argue that an poison assasin version with perfect agony might outperform the lightning version, have you tinkered with that? just a 1 to 1 swap with your items makes it an almost 800% dot multi build which could potentialy be insane. At that time it was very easy to get bigger numbers easier while being more tanky. But I believe I just build my Miner wrong on the defence side. This time I‘ll work into Int Stacking PS Mines or pivot into Splitting Steel if it doesn‘t go well for me

Leaguestarted with PS Locus Mines in Affliction. Very strong then already, considering how Wand builds usually struggle early on. Unfortunately I swapped builds before really taking it into wisp juiced maps or uber bosses but from what I've seen once you go into some Int Stacking Endgame setup even uber bosses shouldn't be a problem. Wonder if it's capable of doing so even before that

@@ThePainqT 4 Watchstones was super comfy but swapped to KB of Frag fairly quickly so don't know how PS Mines would have performed in juiced maps or ubers. I wasn't building much defence so during atlas progression it was easy to over juice. Defense wise it was significantly weaker than what Jung put together. Lily did 6/7 ubers with an int stacker version so clearly doable

I tried this build leveling throught the campaign, it has great damage and does especially well in arena type fights. However the distance condition on locus mines is super annoying in confined spaces. I would only recommend this build if you want to play a wander later, for the mine playstyle i prefer hexblast.

I took an int stacking, CI, abyss jewel version of this build to level 100 last league using thunderfist and a 3 socket shroud of the lightless. One of the strongest builds I've ever made and easily handled all content. I'm honestly a little sad you made this video because now the items will probably be more expensive this league.

Just wanted to say I've played the last 5 leagues and un-installed the game countless times because I never found a LG starter that amounted to shit. I made this build followed the pob to a t and omg I'm so glad I did. This has been by far the best LG starter I have ever made. There's still a ton of things I'm sorting out but I can clear red maps np with garbage gear and lvl 60 last night I made it to room 6 of sanctum without any problem. Jung you are a fucking legend! And I will be following u in the future without a doubt

Extremely conditional and lacks QOL and EHP. More than likely the tinctures are just going to be additive increased damage which is really really bad on a build like this that has a ton of increased additive damage

wouldn't recommend. i looked at a lot of int stackers and while they reach some pretty good defensive numbers like 50k/300k/ci, it's several mirrors in and they're still at between 10-20 mil dps for the most part. but i'm looking at everything from an hc perspective

Hey does wrath aura affect the damage of the locus mines?? I mean the aura effect area is about 2 metres but the mines require 3 metres distance, so do these mines benefit from the aura?

Small thing, but that added damage per dex projectile mastery is awful, even with polymath given the number of other masteries we have. You'll get way more dps doing almost anything else, especially with that tantalizingly close unallocated frenzy charge which represents way more damage per point than that mastery.

No, you need to pick a 3.25 build. Older ones are outdated due to nerfs and changes to skill tree etc. if u want to play toxic rain I believe there is an updated 3.25 guide on maxroll.

In your POB you provide a +200% elemental resist custom option for the experimental 3.25 version. The gems on the character are not able to be used with the tree provided stats and the gem level requirements with PoB gear listed. Is that an oversight, or will we need gear that has additional mods to gear listed in the PoB?
