I remember around 3 months pp making my bed while the baby screamed because I had to set him down. I seriously wondered if those tasks would ever be easy again! Happy to report he is 10m old and the routines/ ease of completing tasks have come back! There’s hope!! 🫶🏼

Hi Delilah, It's so nice when the children can help with the household chores! They're doing great! You're doing great, even if sometimes life happens & you can't do some things! Just do it the next day or next week! Your house is not that dirty! You can miss a day or 2! These are fun videos! Have a great week!Thanks for sharing! ♥️☺️🫂📓✏️🧶🧵🪡🦋🦉🍄🌹🎃🍁✨️

We also have a rotating chore system. We have been doing it for about 5-6 years in some form. We have 8 children, but only 6 who are old enough to be on our roster. So we have a 6-week rotating roster. There are morning jobs before they go to school - feed pets, empty dishwasher, stack dishwasher, wipe table, wipe bench, wipe bathroom sink; afternoon jobs done at 4pm - tidy lounge, tidy playroom, tidy dining and set table, tidy kitchen, tidy stairs/entrance. Then there are dinner jobs - one child helps cook dinner (less supervision for the teenagers), stack dishwasher, wash dishes, dry dishes, wipe table (my husband and I do roster ourselves on a couple of jobs to allow two people each night to have a night off). It has helped so much! I haven’t done the best at training my kids from a younger age, so we are working on that now. We have lists up in every room that needs tidying at 4pm with the list of expectations (with ages for certain things, so the older ones do more detailed tidying). We see it as a chance to learn the skills to maintain a home, as well as teaching them how a family functions when everyone pitches in. So glad to see you are implementing similar things. Now that my baby is 4 months I am starting to get back into more of a routine for my housework. I do struggle with attention and keeping to habits/routines, so I am working hard to trying to be more consistent, while also allowing the days where I just don’t do anything to not be wasted by making sure I am doing something, even if all I do is a load of washing.

Sounds like u have implemented the kids helping, in a GREAT way!! Kudos to u !!

We’ve been sick and honestly this video kicked me back into gear after letting the housework pile up I also appreciate you being bold and sharing your love for the Lord 💗 in a space that may not be very accepting sometimes. Jesus saved mine and my husbands life, if He hadn’t my son would never be here and he is the best thing that’s happened to our lives since the Lord saved us 💗 I’m back into our household chore routine now. Thanks for the inspiration!

Is the big mirror in your bedroom not attached to the wall? In the UK/Europe there have been some horror stories with children and mirrors (normally in shops). But a few wall fitting to protect against accidents could be well worth it

I think that is a good thing to bring to Delilah’s and Zach’s attention. We don’t know if the mirror is attached or not, but in case it isn’t, Zach can fix THAT! I just hope one of them reads your comment!!

How to deal with bad attitudes towards doing chores?
@MerinielАй бұрын
Ok but how do you get your kids to help around the house!? Mine won’t even clean up their toys😕
@beheshtah.3091Ай бұрын
I had the same problem, until I figured out that having too much stuff overwhelms them, and then they don’t want to clean. Once you go through a massive decluttering, and show the kids where everything belongs and clean alongside them, they will naturally start participating. It’s tough to train them to clean up after themselves, but what isn’t tough with kids? 😭 ie sleep training, toilet training, ect
@beheshtah.3091Ай бұрын
I’d love to grab the branch basics products, but they’re pricey in USD. I don’t want to know how much they come up to in CAD 😭😖

I am very curious about branch basics for cleaning my home. One thing that keeps me from natural cleaners is wondering if it disinfects surfaces. How do y'all disinfect your especially dirty areas (toilets, floors, sinks etc)?
@raisingickeАй бұрын
Did you know that your house doesn’t constantly need to be disinfected. Only when sick. Using harsh chemicals all the time is bad for you.
@kiarataylor8380Ай бұрын
Rubbing alcohol is an alternative for disinfecting that doesn't involve strong vinegar smell

I know! I was admiring it, also!! I love how it is designed around the bottom of it, all around! I I like the fact that it’s short! I very much dislike long tops or blouses! To me the long ones feel sloppy, and also take up more room in the washer and dryer, especially if the long tops are what u wear most of the time!

As I said in a previous comment, if you pay attention you'll see she uses different colour and types of cloths throughout. Encouraging people to hate without knowing the facts just isn't nice. ❤

Are you using the same rag to clean the toilets, sink and shower? 🤢
@ChelsyclbАй бұрын
You said it in the wrong order. I would think the toilet first would be nasty. I also do this and she switched rags for the counter and mirror. Toilet and around the floor using the same rag then tossing it out. I don't think that's bad at all.
@EmTheCrunchyHomemakerАй бұрын
If you pay attention Delilah uses different colour and types of cloths through out. 😊
