It’s different, they don’t use a fall restriction that they have to open up to ascend and descend. the people here use it to their advantage in combination with a pad to essentially utilize a falling descent that would have you critically injured at a lineman rodeo that doesn’t use pads. At lineman rodeos you are disqualified for falling. So while this is really impressive you really can’t compare the two. The only similarity is that they both use gaffs.
