My ex boyfriend of 4 years sent me a link to this song like it should explain everything. Well almost except it leaves out that when I 'broke his heart' what I did was nothing that he himself hasn't done habitually over the course of the entire relationship. Perhaps that's why he's not feeling a whole lot of sympathy from me. Maybe.... the reason he doesn't share more of what he's been through, like the things she said and the texts, ect. Is because the ones he sent in reply are 100 times worse? Bad relationships are never only just one sided. Because a healthy person wouldn't stay long with someone that treated them shitty. There's 2 sides of the story of 1 truth. I understand the point of the song, and that is mature of him to not run her name through the mud. However, I think it would be more authentic with at least some acknowledgment that everyone makes bad choices that hurt the people they love sometimes, even him. In the event that someone isn't able to speak kindly or honestly about themselves as well as an ex, then yeah, I guess comparatively this would be a better solution to dragging their name through the mud.
