I'd say that the insider group chat made Logan look like a bad guy (by Logan's own actions, such as: backstabbing, market manipulation, intent to scam, etc.). But Coffeezilla's structure definitely gave the impression of "So this dude's an egotistical scammer with about as much air in his head as a hot balloon.", not "This dude had only evil intentions the whole time, and was experienced enough in scamming to knowingly hire other scammers for advice."

@@diarawisteria2218 That’s exactly what I meant. Not that Logan is blameless! Logan's hoping that you'll believe that, if someone did a crime, at any point in their life, then literally anything they say is the opposite of the truth. @@ositaiza888 - Yup, you can even pay companies to do it for you. This is the weird throughline of this: virtually everything Logan brings up is stuff that could've been solved if he'd hired people and paid them, instead of relying on verbal contracts and assurances. Like... to me, the best evidence that this was a scam would be the fact that, of all people, Logan Paul definitely has the resources available to hire a reputable company to make the game that he said he wanted to make. It's not as hard as he's made it look to just subcontract to people and pay them for their work.

So wait, he spends the first part of the video doing nothing but slinging baseless insults. Then his whole next argument is based around discrediting Coffee for not disclosing the details of unsavory individuals, while he was actively working with them. Then he focuses in on a specific cherrypicked point in order to try and paint Coffee as a liar. Like I highly doubt that that massive 3 part series only amounted to a couple of points. Even if everything Logan said in response to those points was true, it's clearly ignoring dozens of other points that he's just glossing over. And then of course he goes for various basic guilt trip moves that again aren't actually substantive arguments. Even if he's completely honest about him trying to be non-profit and legitimately develop this NFT bullshit, at the end of the day it's still NFT bullshit, which means that he's just ignorant of how dumb he is. Either that or he's purposefully being misleading in which case he's literally doing all the things he's blaming Coffee for. Not to mention Jarvis's hilarious points about how he's just basically trying to shift blame to all the other people that were already 100% confirmed scammers before they were even hired. He's doing nothing but insulting his own intelligence by trying to paint the situation as him being duped by so many other "bad" people mysteriously somehow getting onto his team despite them being already known scammers. If you're surrounding yourself in scammers you're either the world's biggest idiot, or you're in on it. And as a result he has to paint himself as the world's biggest idiot. But hey we already know that feigning ignorance at your own crimes is a totally great strategy isn't that right SBF?

Another issue is that this will probably be Logan's win in court. He has a ton more money than Coffee does, so he'll just bully him and drag on the case until Coffeezilla has to give up because of legal paperwork and fees. California and Texas will battle it out about the phone call's consent, and if they both go on the podcast and Coffee somehow convinces Logan to do the video call it'll be another issue because Coffee will probably record the whole interview and post it unedited (hopefully as it is his best bet to avoid Logan calling him slimy for editing despite Logan doing the same on Impaulsive) and Logan will send a CaD. Stephen is literally destined to lose here, which is the most disheartening thing here really.

@@Mecheres no it won’t. Logan Paul is clearly in the wrong and a scam artist. No amount of money will change that. As far as the recording goes, he’s just admitting CZ recorded evidence of his scam. If he wants to drag that through the mud, it’ll be his mistake. CZ could go nuclear on Logan Paul for slandering him, with the proof of evidence that LP was clearly conspiring to pump the price of the coins to rip people off, just trying to do it in a way without attracting SEC attention. Even if Logan was dealing with better scam artists than him, that’ll still come off looking much worse than CZ just recording evidence of a crime (by someone Logan is claiming is a scam artist), with consent of only one of the parties to the conversation. I looked into the law when you call people in California and " The California Supreme Court has ruled that if a caller in a one-party state records a conversation with someone in California, that one-party state caller is subject to the stricter of the laws and must have consent from all callers", so I think that's the one argument.

that’s fine and all but that’s the California Supreme Court, so, that ruling still only applies to California, Logan Paul currently lives in Puerto Rico, I don’t know where his manager lives, and I don’t know where any of his companies are headquartered, lots of LLC’s are based out of Delaware. Regardless if you wanted to sue Coffee using this ruling as precedent, you’d have to prove California Jurisdiction first, which might be easier said than done.

Federal Law is one-party. California has exceptions including if _participant_ recording is in one-party (manager in Cali/Coffee in Texas). Another, although this is a bit more of a stretch, one could also make the argument of recording a crime, or being threatened. Another exception is if recording is illegal (Crypto King and other dude, but don't know where they were so it may not be illegal) and disclosed to journalist, that journalist (Coffee) can be protected by 1st Amendment. We also don't know if it was "illegal", they could've asked permission for all we know, cause I'm sure that wasn't the full conversation.

Just to touch on something presented in the Coffeezilla investigation that I didn't see the response address -- Logan and his investment team planned a subversive rug pull by publicly promoting an inaccurate project launch date but quietly opening purchases on a date solely known by the participants of his team's group chat. The only reason he and his friends called Jake, "The Crypto King", a traitor is because Jake used that insider knowledge to trade ASAP, start the rug pull a tad earlier than Logan and his crew schemed, sell in a manner that didn't care to leave the project barely viable until the promoted launch date, and then overtly lied to the group chat about the owner of the transactions they were seeing occur on the blockchain. As one of his video's commenters said, his defense is he's not in the wrong because he's left holding the bag. Ah, and Logan's not at fault for hiring scammers; it's his _vetting team_ that failed, and he isn't responsible for not asking for a basic *background check,* if any kind of criminal history is _such_ a problem for him.

Of course, this is my first Coffeezilla video so I’m just going off vibes. Overall though, this video is a wild swing between “everyone except me made this scam a scam, which is a thing you lowkey outline in your video” and “I’m gonna sue you because you exposed my scam and attacked me, even though I actually came out less directly scummy than the others”

Well yeah, but I don't know how exactly journalism in the US works like, but I believe it's the same as mine. There's something we called "On the record" and "off the record." Basically it just an agreement between you and your source, for examples which statement you can use in your report, which one you can't, do we can include their names as informant or they didn't wanted to or "keep anonymous" etc. So yeah I think Coffee as fellow journalist follow the same principles.

The text messages between him and the other people that invested just confirms that for me. He thought it’d go unnoticed like dink doink. He got scammed in the middle of scamming his fans, now wants to play the victim. He did it for the money because he’s really greedy. He got away with scamming before so he thinks he can continue to pull these scams. I don’t think Logan’s really changed as much as some people think. He’s just better at hiding his true self.
