I’ve not seen the film for a long time but leaving the ice cave with Box crushed was an iconic moment, and seeing the sun I watched on British TV originally, and subsequently on DVD … no intermission but a nice segue-way between the scene of them walking down that dry river bed in exhaustion Awesome film and Jenny looks gorgeous in every scene

I saw it on u.s. television in the 1970s; I don't recall this footage. The "escape to the outside" was much less of a big deal, and juxtaposing it with the intermission is very clever! They are sooo beautiful... But I don't recall ever having seen OMG! BOX DIED!!! NO FRESH FROZEN FISH! NO PLANKTON PROTEIN FROM THE SEA!

You're right about outside seeming more significant. Also, coming back from the intermission to see Logan and Jessica exhausted really makes you feel like they have been wondering around for ages.

Wished the filmmakers saved the deleted footage for a subsequent extended version. I remember there was one deleted scene of Logan and Jessica in an embrace as Box creates an ice sculpture of them.

I'm a big fan of Star Trek TOS so it's just a matter of time before I add something from that show. I've only seen a few episodes of Battlestar Galatica, so probably nothing coming from that show. Thanks for all the comments!
