Good stuff, this helped out a lot. Any chance of a complete rebuild on the MXR ? Thanks

Also looking for a rebuild video on these. I have 2 that I purchased years ago. 1 of them I ordered with an extension from the factory for a CRF70. It stuck down on me the other day and blew oil out of it but still kept air pressure. When I went to rebuild my first one a long time ago I let all the air out of it and started taking it apart and it still had pressure built up inside and blew apart on me so be mindful of that it went to fox for a rebuild. But I guess they charge quite a bit to do them now...

Curious to see how the bigger extensions work out. I also luckily, just found the mxr and sent it to fox and had them rebuilt it. I ended up going x2 of the wahl bros .75 extensions and it perfectly leveled the bike with the bbr springs/rods.I found that with the springs and rods it raised the bike exactly 1.5 inches in the front.

My thought is that with the 1" extension it matches the stock shock eye to eye. The normal extension people use on stock shocks with the BBR rear spring is 1" - So I think the 2" extension will be exactly what I'm looking for, but we will see!

The float is a 10.25” shock vs the stock which is 11”. I assumed the .75” spacer would bring you to stock ride height, and then another 1.5” for the dampeners and springs, so the 2.25” seems like the call. Any results from the bigger spacers Logan?

@@loganmarksmedia Do you have any feedback on the 2" wahl bros extension? Before I swapping my .75" to the 2"-- I'd like to hear your results. Thanks in advance

I make a soft jaw out of wood with the same size hole for rebuilding my fox float mxr. The problem I'm having is it won't stay still to remove the bottom Eyelet to rebuild it. Any idea's on how to keep it still?

Question… I have 2022 KLX-110 L. Just bought it for my 65lb 9 year old. The stock rear suspension is stiff ! Even with me on at 215lbs I noticed almost no sag for a 65 lb rider. Thoughts ? Thanks How soft can you make the Fox float shocks ? How low can they go for air pressure ? Or are they suited only for heavier adults riders ? I need something way softer than the stock shock/spring.

What's up man, Just a question. What is the new version of this MXR fox shock? I have a brand new 2020 crf110 and looking to just get stiffer rear shock without getting more travel as i am keeping the stock front shocks until i can get some bbr ones sent over.

There isn't a new version of it. That's why people pay such stupid money for them lol. Your best bet to stay stock height would be a BBR rear spring. That's what is on mine right now and I just got an extension for it as well. I literally have nothing bad to say about it - haven't rode it with the extension on yet - that's the plan for the next video.

They do make that shock now, 2020 fox float mxr for the crf50, it’s 280$

Ryan Romano no. The MXR was discontinued in like 2012, I just talked to someone at Fox last week because I have another one that needs a part that they no longer make.

Ryan Romano yea I talked to the kid at my local mtb shop and we went through all the rear shocks they make and none of them are close or would work on mini bikes. Sucks because the shock is awesome.
