This was one of my first USA made quality knives back in like 2006. Ha

I've bought 3. I lost one that had a drop point with no serrations. $65.00 - purchased in Bethel, Alaska. Another I still have is a tanto blade with serrations - again, $65.00 purchased in Bethel, Alaska in the early '90's. However, the most interesting one I still have is one designed to be used as an EMS tool - it is slightly heavier, has a blunt, unsharpened tip and much less aggressive serrations. It is designed to cut though and remove clothing at the scene of an emergency. It also has a glass breaker and has a maroon color. I purchased this knife in Dutch Harbor, Alaska in 1994. # printed on the blade is 1675RDST

You are right. The 14C28N are thinly ground. They are about 0.011-0.013” behind the cutting edge. An M4 flat ground is about 0.021-0.022” behind the cutting edge

It’s amazing how many collectors I encounter where the Kershaw Blur was the first good knife they had long before they got deep in the hobby. I think there was a cohort of people around 45 and younger who had this as their Buck 110; a solid American made workhorse that they bought when they walked into a sporting goods store and just needed a knife but didn’t know much about the hobby. It became a gateway into Spyderco and Benchmade then the larger market after they got into knife KZbin.

I am always late to the game and only recently purchased one of these. I love it and plan on buying more of other versions.

The Blur in S30V was one of my earliest "fancy" knives, and definitely one of my first "expensive" knives! I remember feeling guilty about spending 90-something dollars on a knife... if only I knew what was to come! 🤣 It was also my first "super steel", and arguably the knife that rekindled my interest in pocket knives. I don't carry it anymore due to the recurve, but it'll never leave my collection on account of the nostalgia tied up in it.

I'm carrying the serrated one today. Excellent work knife.

I just lost about 5% respect for Kershaw. The only reason it's not more is because I'm not going to hold the company responsible for who's in charge are there marketing and social media. Obviously whoever saw your comment is a little f****** crybaby. But if Kershaw can't take some constructive criticism then that's a big red flag. I have been singing Kershaw's praises lately. If you were to ask me personally I think that desserts recognition for making one of the biggest turnarounds in the knife . Their american-made line has always been respected but let's be real their Chinese line has been hit and miss for most of the companies existence. But here lately they just been killing it. The blur is one of my favorite knives of all time and always will be. Excellent video bro 👊

I think my only gripe with the blur is after a few opens for mine I have to retighten the bolt cuz the knife will lean to the side in the handle

Overpriced. Even if it is made in the USA, any Rosecraft modern folder beats this in price and quality. MANY of Kershaw's knives are overpriced. Top guilty parties are Benchmade, Spyderco, and CRKT. Kershaw is a close 4th.
