For a chain sharper I have and ol' 80's Harbor Fright bench grinder. It cuts the chain with a super sharp tip on the cutting edge. In the field I'd sharpen them by hand ... that's where I'd get I little off. LOL first couple tries to sharpen a chain I could almost cut circles in the log 🤣😂🤣 sharper on one side. you look like you have done yarding once before. 🤟😁🤟Rocking the Yarder!😉

Glad you got your ( batteries charged) Wade and the jobs filled. My wife and I are busting are butts 16 hours a day trying to keep up, just can't find any reliable dependable help. We are going to get away for a short weekend trip end of September hopefully I can recharge. I'm losing my marbles fast and it's starting to show up around the farm , which isn't good either. Well enough crying, have a good one.

What part of the world are you in, I'm in NB Canada, and the forestry industry is gone to heck, JDI is so damn greedy he owns everything now an is ruining our province, the ppl want him every headed lol, same as our PM, he's a total fool, should be stoned to death. I live and breathe logging and farming, farming has go eat from here long ago, only about 3 in the area still running, I'm thinking hard about packing up my family and moving out west where there's lots of work running buncher, or anything for that matter, but I just wanna work for some good ppl like Wade an his crew or Logger 99, good ppl make the job easy and fun. I wanna be on the side of a mountain in a buncher dropping trees 2ft at the stump lol. I love it so much I was always excited to get up and get to work. Literally get excited like a kid at Christmas time lol. I grew up running heavy equipment started when I was 6-7, my grandaddy so friend taught me how to run everything from a farmall tractor to a case back hoe to a tree farmer porter an skidder that we logged with every day till he passed away. That's probably where I got my love for logging and heavy equipment. I never played with Tonka toys, just the real things lol.

Think you better take some days for yourself, remember that you can't do everything, you may try to ,but that's a bad thing . Good employees, good workers good people ,they are the ones that you make part of the family ,the business, that truly rewards them for giving their all to the business. Profit sharing, business partners what ever way you be can give them security and the desires to stay and be worth something. You need to be able to walk away and the whole business runs like you are there ,people rewarded take on responsibility With the fleet maintenance, sounds like you're having to get outside help ,yep it costs ,but so does leaving maintenance run over ,then there's breakages, down time which cost you . But it has to be people/companies that you can trust Take care fella

The workforce is in a desperate state here in my country, especially as its now over half way through the baby boomers retiring and not enough of the next generation to fill the job vacancies, especially as so many younger ones travel overseas too work for the experience and money.
