It’s great that your children are able to go out and see you work with them helping you out, I did the same with my father may years ago with sometimes with a grumble from me on a wet winter’s day, but lots of great & happy memories working together. I’m now in my 70s

Thanks Robert. It’s so important, just teaching them to communicate is a skill all on its own these days 👍🏼

Great video again. It's great watching the kids getting involved with the work as well some good logs there. The splitter is a lot easier to use than the axe

Great getting the kids involved... only way to learn is by doing... exposure is great as long as they are as safe as can make it whilst doing so... That 400 looks a cracking saw James... might swap the 391 for one! 🤣🤣🤣

Hi James, I remember this video with the tree you had to cut, this was my first video of yours I watched just seeing what was on you tube and this popped up I watched it and been hooked ever since and I still enjoy this channel I think it was MN vlogs and Machinery nation it's all good stuff. Nice to see your Molly having a go on the log spliter and we know Max can turn his hand to any thing now and I agree with you this is by means the best way of learning of real life. Also it's good to see Wally digging as well, as always a great video catch you soon Take care

@finditfixitfarmit Just out of interest, do I need to heat cycle the engine a few times before using it? Even before taking ownership of it, I have bought an accessory for it. A £7.00 hour meter from Ebay. 🙂
@finditfixitfarmit15 күн бұрын
@ everyone has a different view on this. I would say as long as fluids are at the correct levels, start it up and then leave to ideal for a few minutes to warm up before putting any load on the engine 👍🏼

I would rather listen to the sound of the saw than music and play at normal speed.

Yeah I agree but that would have been long and boring for most and our retention would have been poor. 😂

Nice. Get yourself some log tools. Pickaroon, Log Tongs and a peavy, makes moving logs a lot less hassle and less back breaking work.

I’ve got them all, but never really use them. Found by the time you pick them up you’ve already done the job. But you’re not wrong haha.

Great stuff didn't realise you had another channel I can't get my 13-year-old boy interested in Chainsaws! When do you think Stihl will release the MS 400 they are around €1000 in Germany.
@derrasenmaher973016 күн бұрын
The new 400 seems to be a great saw, but I will wait a year or two and see how it does. It’s like the 500i, all just rushed out for it and it was a hype but I don’t like it that much. At least the fuel consumption of the saw is crazy compared to others.
@finditfixitfarmit16 күн бұрын
Awesome thanks mate. That was 1 full tank and about to cuts.
@derrasenmaher973016 күн бұрын
@ I don’t say that it’s a bad saw I like it and always watch your videos. All I say is that time would tell how long it would last and how good it performs over all 👍🏻

Looks like a great chainsaw. The aspen fuel mix,do you need to have used it from when the machine was new and only used that, or could you put it in an older machine that's never used it before?
@finditfixitfarmit16 күн бұрын
You can use aspen fuel strait in on top of what you already have in your saw. It won’t hurt mixing it. As long as the fuel you already have in there is good and not stale. If you have issues with you saw Aspen won’t cure it, it is a prevention rather than a cure. Ideally use what fuel you have in the tank or dispose of it. And then run the aspen through it.

Yeah it is I agree, but so is bouncing on a trampoline. With the correct guidance and training and teaching them to respect each other and working together as part of a team is not risky.
