Having been a sawmill owner I have the deepest respect for drivers of logging trucks in the North. Your abilities are far beyond any over the road or delivery truck driver.

That’s not completely true I started out in logging and then went to many different fields of trucking cattle hauling is moreChallenging not I haul super loads up to a million pounds with push trucks and that’s another tier above all. But I am humble with all trucking it’s all dangerous!

Very cool!!!! I myself drive hauling logs chips grain and fertilizer. I really look forward to checking out your vids!!!! I’m down south though and we don’t get much cold weather. We’ll get a month or so where it’ll get down in 20’s at night, but usually our January and February is still 50-70F during the days. It’s been the wettest past 4 years that I can ever remember though and mud and the woods equals =hell 🥵🥵 I love seeing female truckers doing their thing! I’m teaching my wife how to drive now. She already operates combines and tractors, dozers w zero problems and honestly is better than any men I’ve ever hired bc a woman can keep her cool a lot better in my opinion Peace Malla girl!!! I work in the North Maine woods but drive for a construction outfit. We build and maintain logging roads here as well as doing commercial and residential work. Any time I get the chance I take my 5 year old little girl with me in the truck...she loves it. She has diesel fuel in her veins, my Dad is a truck driver (turning 70 soon), my wife's Dad was a truck driver and my step Dad was a truck driver up until he passed away a few years ago and of course I'm a truck driver.

Glad to hear this story. I was in the woods on the East coast. I drifted into a IH4200 - 6 speed. We were driving on Ice roads from Can woods to US woods and then drop in USA. The roads were 1 and a 1/2 truck wide. Loaded - you had the road, When we met - you ran up on the snowbank which was better than bouncing on the stumps . Cheers

That's my dream woman right there. I wonder if she likes to fish. I was just joking, I really have a lot of respect for women who are willing to tackle a job that traditionally is a man's job. I started in 1970 as an owner operator and retired in 2016. When l first started seeing woman driving big rigs, l was a little jealous but l got used to them being out. I actually got pretty comfortable with them. Seeing some of the men we have on the road now days, l wouldn't care if the girls took over. Great video.😎

I am a logger, not a trucker. I am relaying this question for an 8yo Amish kid with health issues. We here in PA have 8 speed & a few 9 speed log trucks. I read somewhere in the PNW they use 13 & 18 speeds. His questions is what is the most powerful engine you can put in an 8 speed log truck?

Gravel plants and pits are my "Working Home". I wanna tellja agin-You're dam tough!!! ALWAYS HAVE A GOOD ROAD AND ENOUGH GRIP UNDER THE TIERS-STAY HEALTHY-P.S, Very Nice Dog!!Great Truck your driving-It's a Kenworth isnt it?!? I been driving Mercedes Benz and MAN now somtimes Scania-But like I said I'm a VolvoGuy!! Magnificent Video!! Sorry for my bad Gramma!! Wish You Well!!! You got a beautifull Smile-That's a fact!!

Good job! =) However, this is not the norm to be honest. To get your CDL and step right into a logging truck job is unheard of - unless like your situation you are working with family. This type of work requires a lot of skill and folks won't just hire a hire driver. But good on yah for your success.
