Logging Wagon G Scale 45 mm Part 1/2

Hello friends
this time I'm opening a new playlist for everything to build wagons and trailers.
My other projects won't start again until winter. These side projects are not that time consuming.
Now that I'm the proud owner of a "Billy" from Roundhouse Engineering, it also needs something to pull.
the parts for the Leaf Springs are my own design. I made a CAD drawing and gave it to :

I like how you handle the wood, giving it structure and life by carving it, giving these tiny nails a boost of colour and all... First it was only squared timber, then it became the well used base of a stake wagon. Not to forget the actual part, the great metal work. Beautiful & interesting to watch, and calming, too!

I am not a fan of 3D printed wagons so this type of build is right up my street! If you want the wood to have that natural weathered look try steel wire wool with vinegar solution 👍

@@dreamsteam8272 Personally I'll qualify this a little bit. I use 3d printing, but I use it to make jigs to hold things for me a lot of the time, or to make jigs for construction of multiples. I still like building cars from raw stock more.
