Friday get my new studio Mac, Saturday move all logic and projects from Mac-mini (intel) to new Studio Mac, Sunday download Logic Pro 11and firefight and finally get everything in place, Monday fire up Logic Pro 11 and WOW! Hi, thank you so much for your videos! Quick question - as someone still on Logic X, can I use this updated series to learn Logic as a beginner, or is the difference between 10 and 11 too huge and I should stick to the older tutorial series? Thanks in advance!

You could go either way. The 10.7/10.8 course playlist is already there an ready to go. The only thing you're missing out on are the session players, chord track, chroma glow and stem splitter. The rest is the same for the most party.

I decided to end the Logic Pro 10.7/10.8 video series and focus on Logic 11 content. However, after this Logic Pro 11 Essentials course is done, I'm going to be making some topic specific courses in LP11 - Live Loops, Mixing with different genres, etc. I decided to cut things up in to more succinct courses rather than just one mega course. I bought Logic about 6 years ago. Never had time to learn and use it until now. I'm assuming this course will still be okay to learn and apply to my version of Logic now. Looking forward to knowing how I can get to know how to use it to get some songs actually recorded and finished off.

​@@MusicTechHelpGuy I've checked. My 2017 Macbook Air OS Montery is not capable for Logic Pro 11 as it's the 12.7.5 version. So, for now, I'll go to the playlist you've given me and work thru that. Hopefully that'll be enough to get me up and running using this DAW. If I gain what I'd like to achieve, I'll update my Macbook and Logic, then watch thru these latest videos. You've got a very good reputation over the years by the way.

Hi, quick question, after relocating the sound library and you then go to download more instruments, will they then be installed on your internal hard drive or located with the rest of the files on the external drive? Thanks

I did everything you said but when I try to relocate the library; it goes to the screen showing my internal drive (where the library is) and a hdd for backups and the ssd where I want to put the library. Problem is: everything is grayed out and it says I don’t have access. I’m sure it’s something I haven’t done properly but I can’t find it. Any ideas? Love your videos dude!

hey hey, do you know of a way to inverse sidechain the noise gate? so the noice gate only kicks on when somethins is NOT playing? to leave me with complete silence?

When I open the Loops panel i'm only seeing the Sound Packs button, I'm not seeing the Apple Loops button or the Untagged Loops button as you have in the top right at 9:34. My version of Logic Pro is 11.0.1

AUDIO FILES DROPPING? Hey Josh.. since I've upgraded to 11, my audio files have been dropping off after I save and I'm saving them in a folder with all the proper checkmarks (per your excellent instructions).... The message says I can find them or "skip all"... but it's a total bummer! I've been using V10 for about a year with no issues. Maybe I need to go reload 11? Thanks for what you do here. It's insanely valuable. I don't see your donate button anymore either??
