This is great! You should do a video like this with gatekeeper by polyverse. You can do the same thing but with an mseg or step sequencer. Just pair it with the modifier midi effect to modulate other plugins. Gatekeeper has a midi effect version now

Hey Tech guy and all, I just did a test of the above with the Sound Tower plug in for the Dave Smith Pro2.. and it works!! so you can control a hardware synth with this if you can interface with it.. in my case I used the Pro2 plugin.. I'll bet there are ways to control any synth that can get midi..

I have a question! I'd like to set the envelope of the modulator to do the inverse or the "sliding grace note" preset. For example, I'd like the synth to do a quick dip down, instead of upward. Is there a way to get an inverse envelope signal with the modulator? I can't seem to find it.
