Could you please do a video on how you’d use logic live loops like a guitar pedal looper with a midi foot pedal?
@TheJAIRCRUZ3 ай бұрын
You ever found a video like that ?
@LunchBandit12 күн бұрын
@@TheJAIRCRUZ He said in the video that it's not meant for live performance. You're better off switching to Ableton Live for that. Or a looping specific program.

Am I the only one performs in Live Loops? I have mapped an Opt - Ctrl - Cmmd + my numeric keypad for Play selected scene, Play next scene, Stop all cells, all the views, zooms, etc. I got a couple videos in my channel if you're interested, also Logic remote helps a lot when performing! I DID have to BiP and freeze a couple things, have a 2015 laptop, so yeah, less power, but I did my first gig a month ago and it was a blast!

You can do very complex fast shifting arrangements. I'd love a video on the launchpad series. I've been struggling with Pro X 10.5.1 and a launchpad mk2 ..and a launch pad pro. when i have had either one of them working ..the pads crash like crazy ..totally unusable. Big love ...simply the best.
@MusicTechHelpGuy2 жыл бұрын
In 10.6 they added support for the launchpad as a control surface. I have both a launchpad pro and a launchpad X and both of them are just plug and play in Logic 10.6 and later. And all of the controls automatically map for live loops.

When you can see the waveform for editing the audio cells, it's called the Audio Editor as its always been. No such terminology of Track Editor in Logic. And "so on and so forth" is a tautology as they both mean the same thing. Otherwise, nicely explained video. 👍
@MusicTechHelpGuy Жыл бұрын
Double click on any audio region in the tracks area, and you'll see that there are 3 editors available, the track editor, the file editor, and the smart tempo editor. Whereas when you double click on a cell in the Live Loops grid, you only get one editor.
@thekeysman6760 Жыл бұрын
@@MusicTechHelpGuy Oh. Okay! I'm still on 10.4 and don't have Live Loops anyway which came along in 10.5 or whenever. But having been using it since the 90s I've always known it as the Audio Editor, when we see the waveform. I guess 'Track Editor' totally relates to a track in Live Loop. And "tracks area" was the "Arrangement page" for me. Thank you.

This is great. Why do you not recommend this for rock musicians who are tracking? I'm guessing it's because we record multiple takes, and often the opening of a take is clipped on the one. What was your reasoning for not recommending this for rock musicians?

@Allthewrongkeys821 Жыл бұрын
A stand alone looper or Ableton. But looping live in real time can be a trick. Theres little margin for error if you’re looping tash sultana style. You might consider setting up a backing track depending on your skills with a looper.

Just drag and drop them over. Any regions in the tracks area can be dragged into live loops. You just have to make sure the regions are trimmed to 2,4,8 or 16 bar phrases so they loop properly
