Hey Josh, I know this is an older video but I wrote a 1/16 strummed guitar chord in Piano Roll, copied it and reversed it so it plays like strumming up and down on the strings! It worked pretty neat. See you back in the future… Gianni❤

Sigh, I have much to learn about chords, lol. Enjoyed your video tutorial, thx for sharing it. Using the step sequencer might be a much better way of composing than me trying to play my MIDI synth input in real time, so I appreciated you showing me that trick.

Help Guy always inspires a lot! Maybe one thing additional to mention: Not every sound makes a good noticeable reverse effect. I feel sounds with a strong decay (transient heavy) work the best. But that's a matter of taste!

Very cool trick, I'll try it, undoubtly. The melotron sound, with these wacky strings, give the idea of an old sampled record, realy nice. (BTW, I've sometimes used the melotron strings to mimic the sound or those badly recorded old oriental/egyptian bands of the 60s)

Can you have similar results by using a reverse reverb (only the reverb output)?
@MusicTechHelpGuy
@MusicTechHelpGuy 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, but you won't have great control over the placement of the effect. You'd want to print it to audio still and then manually place the audio. That would be the best method imo.
