@@notsure1135 Phat FX and Step FX are also full of cool tricks that work wonders. The phat fx has many tricks for bass. The step effect adds crazy effects and or ambience to your sounds. I do believe it was Camel Audio that Apple acquired. I'm a Pro Tools refugee Logic Pro kicks ass also easy on the wallet. 🤣 👍

Dope video. Love Alchemy. A processing chugger on your computer tho. 😮 Could you do a tutorial on Alchemy’s sampler? Yes, there are several out there already but I still can’t figure it out. YES! Finally some love for Alchemy 👏👏👏 I use it solely as an arpeggiator. I was looking for a Jupiter 8/ early 1980s thing (early Simple Minds, Duran Duran vibe). I’ve got a brilliant J-8 emulator - but this was better just from the presets. I knew I was only scratching the surface so now I have a bunch of new ideas from this video to check out. Thanks!

Wow! She sounds like she dialed in the sound of the intro to Howard Jones "Things Can Only Get Better" at 5:20..iim like where have I heard that!? Now, Seids, is like a kid in a candy store here and that totally helps me as I got lost in Alchemy a while back and... well, I got lost. Here, she showed me that we can go "through the bars!"( Gonzo from a Christmas story, the muppets) in the squares... that you can go in between the squares and make crazy new sounds! The advanced where she grabbed the flute and made the sample... again mind melt! Thanks Seids! When she drinks less coffee I can actually follow her haha!

Fun Fact: Alchemy sounds as good as a 3rd party instrument because it was a 3rd party instrument. Apple liked it so much that they bought the company (Camel Audio). I almost bought it before it was acquired by Apple. ($250)

Unfortunately, when they did that, the iOS version stopped being available and if you reinstall on an old iPad, your IAP’s won’t restore. There wasn’t any communication about it for a while. It’s still great in Logic, but the transition could have been smoother.

3rd party stuff don't necessary sound better. Alchemy is incredibly advanced, yes. But don't think that 3rd party instruments or effects sound better than simpler Logic instruments or effect just because they're 3rd party.

This is pretty similar to a couple Native-Instruments products-but without the absolutely useless and weird onslaught of 1000’s of alien/zombie presets-which are absolutely useless… AND you don’t have to go to NI’s useless support forum JUST to get it to work.

Then,,, you bounce down the audio form your beautiful life melody, reverse it, bounce it, then take your reversed audio back into alchemy but instead of the sampler, switch to granular. Then you set the grains to 1 so you can automate/modulate the start position and grain size then snap a little reverb and chorus on it and marvel at the glitched out madness that ensues add some gates or arpeggiation to go crazy then add a convolution reverb where you load the same sample back in but isolate one reversed note. From this point you only need to do the cha cha cha for the sound designer seance to be completed. Thank you for reading this cursed reply, you now have no life, enjoy.

Underrated? Why?. It’s known for years and years as a great synth. I’d say it’s always been a highly rated instrument, even way before it was ever a part of logic. Maybe under utilized? That might be cause it has so many more features and potential than many other synths.
