The ES2 is painfully underrated. It sounds FANTASTIC.

DUDE. More tutorials like this. There is an UTTER lack of tutorials on industrial and an over saturation of pop/trap. Help us out MusicHelpGuy.

I love Dance with the Dead. I clicked on this video after listening to Hex haha Edit: just finished the video, amazing tutorial. I’m new to this kind of music and Logic - this blew my tiny mind. Amazing how you can make such a cool sound with just a few tweaks. Gonna give this a try now.

My EDM tutor at university (a well known producer himself) said to us once (the university supplied Mac’s with logic) “you have the ES2. It’s a monster. If you can’t produce that synth into any sound you want, you shouldn’t be here.”
@VelvetItch5 жыл бұрын
I looked out for Grind Machine and apparently now they are selling Grind Machine II, I got that one but doesn't seem to have the same cabs and amps as the one you are using (or at least they are named differently) so I got a different sound from it. Thanks for uploading this, it's just what I needed! You rock!

I agree, ES2 is bloody good xd Not for every sound, genre or mood, but for what it can do it's damn good.

Check out Front Line Assembly for the origin of this type of sound. This reminded me of their Millennium album especially. Lots of heavy industrial sounds with samples from old horror movies mixed in as well. We used to spend hours trying to figure out what move they sampled from.

jlokanis Hell yeah! They, and Nine Inch Nails, are my two favourite bands. FLA’s sound is ever changing but I prefer their older albums. Production quality is always top notch though.

Purchased your Mayday Children album this morning from iTunes. It's the least I could do considering all the help I've received from your channel. I'm still back on the 101 series but I'm loving how much easier you make learning how to record. Cheers, I'll catch up eventually.

Nice for 80s music IT Will be awesome a.logic upgrade with a new type of drum machine like the Linn drum
@chaosme1ster5 жыл бұрын
You can assign any drumkit to any drummer in Logic. The drummer only determines the way the drums are played, but if you want a singer/songwriter drummer to play Linn drums that's entirely possible (if you have e.g. an EXS instrument with Linn drums, or an Ultrabeat setup with Linn). Most (all?) drummers are driven by an underlying Ultrabeat, so changing the loaded kit in Ultrabeat changes the kit the drummer is playing. No need to wait for a Logic update.
