Coming back to this: I have been a logic fan since the drop of under pressure. I went to his show in Indianapolis on his tour for this album. I’m not a fan of his recent work (although I’m really digging vinyl days) but this album is one of my favorite rap albums. Rap albums tend to lack concept and deep rooted themes now a days but this album is a trip from start to finish. The story helps to encapsulate the space theme and although it doesn’t relate to each song heavily, it sets the feel and precedent for the massively structured beats. The feel of each track is then related to an outer worldly experience that is felt throughout. It’s truly an album that flows so well track to track and does not feel like anything was forcefully added. I’ll forever love this album for the concept that it beautifully portrays in the mind when listened to front to back.

I love this album so much just because if you really listen I feel like not only does he use the space concept, I feel like most of the lyrics and song structures in this album boil down to doing what you love and following your dreams. Fantano missed on this one and I feel like if this album came out today with his new opinions on logic he would’ve given it a 8 or 9. Classic album

I loved his first two albums, old mixtapes, and the first 2 Bobby Tarantino tapes sooo much. But I couldn't stand Everybody or Confessions, and YSIV rubbed me wrong. However, NP and VD are pretty great records. He's super unique and fascinating but equally frustrating because he was the last pre-streaming rapper to make it really big, and his music's dramatically fluctuating quality reflects that weird limbo.

Im just being honest, I can see how he is somewhat emulating artists in his young sinatra mixtape and under pressure. Regardless, his lyricism is incredible on all of his projects so far. But, I could sort of understand your point on the other two reviews. But you are really stretching it on this album. "He's copying Kendrick and Drake" supposedly. When I heard this I truly didnt see it, so I listened to it again. And I really believe you have a preconceived view of Logic, because the musicality in this album was really great along with the skits and the music relating to the story line. I tried having an open mind and I think Kendrick is really great too but I don't think Logic is emulating him.

Logic just said the only difference between drake rapping about hoes and tupac rapping about hoes is the drum break. That's just false, it's like he forgot lyricism, flow, delivery and technique. Pac would rap about bitches but make it clever and exciting. Drake raps about bitches but his delivery, flow and lyricism is waay below average. Our issue with drake is NOT his subject matter, it''s the fact that he is bad a rapping.

Gaah i just have to disagree, especially with the idea that Logic doesn't have his own style or sound. Thats something I would agree with back in the days of his first album, but The Incredible True Story is unique, and finally implements his own style in my opinion. But the thing is, I think i'm just looking at his style in a much more broad perspective. Instead of looking at each individual song, I look at The album as a whole through the perspective of a movie. And within that point of view lies his very clear and unique style. I think you need to look at the album as a whole; A connected auditory "film" from start to finish. The ebst way to describe it would be if Tarantino style Album about space, and the quest for paradise. The story he's telling is his style and signature. Not just the story, but the way he does it, with beautiful songs interlaced with witty dialogue. I get that if you take an individual song, it may song similar to another artist (which even then I would disagree, at least on this album but its at least debatable) But this album is different. Its meant to be looked at as a whole, not just divided into songs and analyzed. You wouldn't think of a movie as a film divided into scenes. We think of movies as whole entities, from start to finish, and thats what this album needs to be looked at as in my opinion.

c: I've seen more videos of this guy, and I feel like he's too strict and analytical of music as a whole. Music is so subjective. SO much about music is about how it makes you feel, rather than if it's made correctly. So many times where artists purposely create dissonant sounds or create something that's murky, yet that's exactly the point because that's the emotion they're trying to capture. Jack White is a perfect example of that in my opinion as well as a bunch of other artists from decades ago. Zeppelin, The Doors, etc.

+MusicIsAWayOfLife123 You are very ignorant for saying that first off every rapper uses samples from other artists weather you know it or not shit the sample wasn't even from Kanye it was a type of drum used in another production and used it for amazing if you would have done some research. It's not like the dude is taking other people's lyrics or anything. There is multiply comparisons I could make about flow with other artist to everyone has influences and just about everyone uses them. Plus eventually there is going to be no more different flows because they'll all be used up and then every one will be coping one another. To me it's more about the music and my love for hip hop more than worrying about weather he copped kendricks flow or not. Probably just another dude hugging up on kendricks nut sac.

Logic is the most annoyingly inconsistent rapper ever. Dude debuted with a classic mixtape series and was the last big pre-streaming datpiff era rapper, dropped two great high-concept albums, had another great pair of tapes (first two Tarantino tapes), only to sell out and have a wack third album that derailed his career followed by a great tape(BT2) mediocre tape(YSIV), and an embarrassing soundtrack release which was followed by an even shittier pop-rap album(Confessions). Since then, he's been struggling to stay relevant with a great album(NP), awful tape(BT3), and another great release(VD). Dude is square between two totally different eras of hip hop and his career and music is super fascinating and equally as frustrating.

ZiggytheNinja LOL I never expect a perfect 10. He does actually tear things down because he picks on every little flaw that the average listener woud not give a shit about until they hear it from him. Fantano doesn't realize that this is the 'album that changed everything' for Logic. Not for the world or for Hip Hop.

I had higher expectations on his sophomore album. I also noticed how drake like "I am the greatest" was & some lines he used reminded me of previous songs.

Ok so according to you this is as good as GKMC? Sorry bro but logic is just not there yet in terms of accolades. This ain't a nine. Maybe if he stopped copying fucken other people so much and used their shit to make his own style he'd breakthrough. It's like the saying goes, 'bad artists copy, good artists steal'. But until he does, a 6 seems fine as his due. Skill ain't enough. You have to bring something new to the table, for the same logic (no pun intended) you probably wouldn't enjoy a second helping of mashed potatoes from a batch done exactly the same as a first one. You already saw it. It doesn't come off as satisfying cause you already had it.

I love the album because of the voice cast from Cowboy Bebop. YOU SHOULD have done your research and said that!
