The beauty of Roger's performance is that, he knows the songs were written and recorded properly. He presents them that way in concert. No need to rearrange them every night (ala Robert Plant, or Mellencamp). To a 'song' lover like me, that is huge. Roger is a legend.

I just cant believe it, I thought it was done, I just cant believe it. I was in Honduras in 1989, an older guy introduced me to this band, I did not know about rock at that time, I was 11 years old. This was my first progressive rock i heard in my entire life. The album was live in Paris, so full of power, melodies that touches my heart. Then I moved to USA in 2003. I always dreamed with see them in concert but it was hard to know where they were playing, then I found out his partner died of cancer. Now he keeps singing it is just incredible. Now, I hope I can hear this music live. Praying for time and possibilities. God Help.

When I was young It seemed that life was so wonderful A miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical And all the birds in the trees Well they'd be singing so happily Oh, joyfully, playfully, watching me But then they sent me away To teach me how to be sensible Logical, oh responsible, practical And they showed me a world Where I could be so dependable Oh, clinical, intellectual, cynical There are times when all the world's asleep The questions run too deep For such a simple man Won't you, please, please, tell me what we've learned I know it sounds absurd But please tell me who I am Now watch what you say Or they'll be calling you a radical A liberal, oh fanatical, criminal Oh, won't you sign up your name We'd like to feel you're Acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable At night when all the world's asleep The questions run soo deep For such a simple man Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned I know it sounds absurd But please tell me who I am Who I am, who I am, who I am

When I was young and came to USA in 1978, and life was sort of wonderful as my motherland Iran was going through a revolution and I hoped that after almost a century of struggle for freedom Iran will have finally a great democratic government, I was hearing this song all the time on radio. I liked it so much as the music and lyrics were so energetic and inspiring. Now, I like it many times more as I try to be logical, sensible, practical, and responsible but refuse to be cynical as I strive to be as intellectual as I can be and try to be acceptable, respectable, and presentable but by all means I will not be a vegetable! I support the Iranian opposition that has been called, by those apologist of the fascist regime of the Ayatollahs of Iran, radical or fanatical but I know that finally I will see that my dream of a secular, democratic and free Iran will come true.
