Almighty song! Survivor's "Burning Heart" is more than just a song; it's a cinematic masterpiece, a sonic embodiment of the human spirit's indomitable will. The track's iconic guitar riff, coupled with Jimi Jamison's soaring vocals, creates a powerful anthem that resonates with audiences across generations. The song's success is largely attributed to its perfect alignment with the film Rocky IV. The narrative of a boxer facing an insurmountable challenge mirrors the song's message of perseverance and the ultimate triumph of the underdog. "Burning Heart" encapsulates the essence of the film's themes, making it a quintessential part of its cinematic legacy. Beyond its commercial success, "Burning Heart" has endured as a timeless classic due to its universal appeal. The song's uplifting message and infectious energy continue to inspire and motivate listeners. It's a testament to the enduring power of music to connect with audiences on a deep emotional level.

No auto tune, no sample tracks, just raw talent unalterated. 80´s music is and always will be on another level!
@Abruzzo333 Жыл бұрын
I grew up in the 80's and I'm a music producer myself. I agree with your sentiment whole heartedly ...but must say that there is most definitely sample tracks and other production wizardry at play in this song. Namely directly after the first words of the chorus when there's a huge snare smash. This is most certainly a layered sample of multiple snare hits heavily effected.
@tatuhammer8247 Жыл бұрын
@@Abruzzo333 Nice to have the insight of someone who works in this era of music! Dind't know that about the "snare smash" wizardry (and for what I heard Jim Peterik did a really fine job with Survivor as a Keyboardist). But what I meant with the sample tracks was more inclined to a "computer generated banks/sounds" that are usually mostly present in nowadays music. (Just in case: there is nothing wrong with that btw!) So I assume that all the magic in the pre-production of this bands is, at least at the end, the effort of every musican in the group to get that magic in those samples.

+74Robinos Both "Eye of the Tiger" (1982) and "Burning Heart" (1985) were written especially for Rocky movies (Rocky III and Rocky IV, respectively). "Man Against the World" was also written for Rocky IV, but didn't get used so Survivor put it on their 6th album "When Seconds Count" from 1986. Sylvester Stallone first heard Survivor's song "Poor Man's Son" off of their album "Premonition" (I believe it was in 1980 or 1981) and liked the heaviness of the beat and asked them to do a song for Rocky III... the rest is history. :D

Two worlds collide Rival nations It's a primitive clash Venting years of frustrations Bravely we hope Against all hope There is so much at stake Seems our freedom's up against the ropes Does the crowd understand? Is it east versus west Or man against man? Can any nation stand alone? In the burning heart just about to burst There's a quest for answers an unquenchable thirst In the darkest night rising like a spire In the burning heart the unmistakable fire, in the burning heart In the warriors code There's no surrender Though his body says, "Stop" His spirit cries, "Never" Deep in our soul A quiet ember Knows it's you against you It's the paradox that drives us on It's a battle of wills In the heat of attack It's the passion that kills The victory is your's alone In the burning heart just about to burst There's a quest for answers an unquenchable thirst In the darkest night rising like a spire In the burning heart the unmistakable fire In the burning heart just about to burst There's a quest for answers an unquenchable thirst In the darkest night rising like a spire In the burning heart the unmistakable fire In the burning heart just about to burst There's a quest for answers an unquenchable thirst In the darkest night rising like a spire In the burning heart the unmistakable fire In the burning heart Перевести на русский
